Home Again!
Published June 30th, 2005 in My Journeys, Press Coverage
Have I ever told you I hate planes! Flying is certainly not relaxing. Our flight from Australia left an hour late—but we still had plenty of time to connect in LA. When we arrived, we walked over to Delta to check in—but I think half the population of the USA was there! Lines were out the doors! When I asked the check in agent about what seats we had, she said, "sir, just be thankful you have a seat! The flights are all fully booked!" Sorry I asked! The security line was ...

Coming home

IN THE AIR AGAIN
As you are reading this, we should be getting closer to our home in the USA—we arrive Wednesday evening.
As soon as we get back, I have interviews, meetings and other commitments—I hit the road running. I also have to continue preparations for my talks at the coming MEGA conference (1000 booked in already—I urge you to try to attend). Straight after the MEGA conference, Mally and I go to Israel—but I'll tell you more about that later on.

What is Your Life?
Published June 28th, 2005 in My Journeys
I was reminded of James 4:14 yesterday:
"Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."
We received news my mother was taken to hospital with a heart attack. She has some heart damage, but we won't know the extent of things until further tests scheduled for Monday. In the meantime she remains in the Critical Care unit of a local hospital so they can keep an eye on her. Mally and I went to see her this ...

Yep! It’s a Fallen World
Published June 27th, 2005 in My Journeys
Well today was an interesting day! I had arranged to take my two brothers, Stephen and David, to lunch at our favorite Seafood Restaurant at Sanctuary Cove. While we were on the way to the restaurant, my brother Stephen called me to say we would have to change the time for lunch as he was going to be late (we eventually had lunch at 3 pm!). This is what happened:
Stephen worked hard so he could have the time off to meet me for lunch. He rushed out of work and drove off only to be stopped ...

MISSIONARY SPOT
This morning (Sunday, June 26, 2005), Mally and I collected my Mum and attended the morning service at Sunnybank Baptist Church (located in one of the Southern Suburbs of Brisbane).
Nearly 20 years ago, Mally and I were set apart from this church as missionaries to the USA through the Answers in Genesis ministry. We are members of this church and on the missionary list for people to pray for us.
Whenever we are able to attend, the pastor asks me to give a "Missionary Spot" to inform the congregation on the latest happenings in our lives and the AiG ...
Up the Coast to see a Pioneer
Published June 25th, 2005 in Around AiG, My Journeys
On Saturday, Mally and I took off early from the Gold Coast south of Brisbane to drive to the North Coast town of Buderim (about a 2 hour trip). We planned to visit two very dear people—Prof and Angel Rendle-Short. "Prof" (as we affectionately know him—he used to be Professor of Child Health at Queensland University) was the founding chairman of the Australian creation ministry (now called Answers in Genesis) that started in our home about 25 years ago. It was then called the "Creation Science Foundation." Truly, Prof was one of the "pioneers" of the ...
