Sabbath Church in Israel
Published July 30th, 2005 in My Journeys
Today is Saturday in Israel and many people are on holiday. Because of the past history of this nation, Saturday is observed as the Sabbath by the nation by and large, and then they start work on Sunday. That is one of the reasons why the Messianic Church has their services on Saturday. This morning and this evening, I spoke in the largest such church in Israel.
Again I've seen a great response from the people and so many people thanking me for helping them see the importance of the book of Genesis and particularly giving them answers that ...

The busiest day!
Published July 29th, 2005 in My Journeys
Today (Thursday) was busy!
I spoke twice to the Youth Conference (see photograph)! Tremendous responses. Even those who couldn't speak English came and did their best to thank me sincerely for helping them. This was a tremendous opportunity as I said in earlier blogs.
After a quick lunch (interesting and different food to what we're used to!), I was driven three hours down to Jerusalem for the evening meeting at a church sponsored by the students at the church. The man who drove me down is my main translator for this trip. He just finished his Masters ...

Wednesday in Israel
Published July 28th, 2005 in My Journeys
Today Mally and I and the family we are staying with (4 children and the two parents and a friend that's staying with them) crammed into a van along with our luggage and food and traveled 3 hours north to a youth hostel. This is actually very close to the Lebanon border--you can actually see the border because it's a very sensitive border. It's right on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. I took a photo of Mally standing on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea with the Lebanon border in the background. (I can't send pictures to ...

TRAVELING
We are going to be traveling for the next few days, so I'm not sure when I will have access to email to send reports. Keep checking the BLOG and I will update with reports when I can. There are some very interesting meetings coming up.
TUESDAY IN ISRAEL
Today, I spent most of the day getting my talks ready--it is not easy when one doesn't understand the culture or the background of those I will be speaking to. I still have a lot of work to do on my talks, but at least I have a lot of ...
Update on the Planetarium

PLANETARIUM PAID FOR!
Saturday night we had one of our fund raising banquets at the Museum. A number of people gave cash donations and pledges. One family group got together to give just over $470,000 to totally pay for the Planetarium. We are now working hard to get all the computer and sound equipment, chairs, carpet etc. ordered and installed trusting we can actually open the Planetarium in November or December this year. Dr. Jason Lisle has already written a powerful Planetarium program that we will open with. Over time, he will ...
