Lingering effect of Katrina

WATERFALLS FROM KATRINA
Today, the remnants of Hurricane Katrina went through Northern Kentucky. It rained all day—quite heavy at times. Patrick Marsh, who is in charge of the exhibit design for the Creation Museum, has designed a system of chains hung from the downspouts taking water off the roof of the AiG building. When it rains, these chains create a waterfall effect along the side of the building. The enclosed picture shows this feature.

The Dying Church

Dr. Monty White, CEO of the AiG UK ministry sent the enclosed photograph with this caption:
"It is of a church in Llangollen (it's difficult to pronounce, so just say 'in Wales') which has been sold and is now used as a liquor store. We saw it on our holidays—It just shows you the decline in church going and the closure of churches that is happening in the UK."

KEN HAM'S "CHANT"
A Connecticut newspaper just printed a long article about Catholic evolutionist Kenneth Miller from Brown University--the article is worth reading (link here), but as is usual these days there is often a "hit" against or a reference to Answers in Genesis. Here is an excerpt from the article--note how Miller calls my saying about "billions of dead things..." a "chant!"
A newer organization in Kentucky, Answers in Genesis, is building a similar $25 million creation museum outside Cincinnati. Visitors, according to newspaper reports, will be greeted by talking, moving dinosaurs, then watch a film on the ...
A Fantastic Day at AiG

FANTASTIC STAFF/VOLUNTEER PICNIC
On Saturday, we had a Staff, Volunteer and their families picnic at the AiG headquarters. What a great day. Museum staff member Sam Dingus organized a fantastic day for everyone. We were concerned about the weather, but the Lord allowed us an overcast day that actually kept things fairly cool--what a blessing. While we were all having great fun and fellowship, our Illinois Homeschool group continued to work hard all day on many projects around the grounds.
I have attached a photographic report of the picnic for you (11 photos).

THE CHILDREN ARE HERE
The two animatronic children have been installed in the Lobby. I had one of our photographers take my photograph wearing my BULLDOGS hat (given to me by the head coach of the Bulldogs during the seminar I spoke at in Georgia) in front of the two children.
LAKE WALK
Today I walked the around the lake with our VP in charge of the Museum, Mike Zovath. There are three waterfalls under construction, and lots of other exciting things happening. The place is being transformed. Once the waterfall work is more advanced, I will enclose some ...

30th Anniversary
Published August 25th, 2005 in Around AiG, Podcasts
We didn’t arrange this, but it so happened that our guest speaker at staff meeting today played an interesting part in the beginnings of what is now the ministry of Answers in Genesis. 30 years ago this year I gave my first ever public talk on creation in Petrie Terrace Baptist Church in the city of Brisbane, Australia. Today, the pastor who gave me his pulpit those many years ago, spoke to our staff at our 8:30 am staff meeting.
As I introduced Pastor Alan Cossgrove, I explained that 30 years ago I used the book "...
