King Kong evolved

It seems today secular writers go out of their way to bring evolution into as many subjects as they can. Some of you may have seen the movie, KING KONG---well, an article has now appeared linking this movie to evolution. It’s eye-opening to see how many times evolutionary ideas surface in newspapers, magazines, TV advertisements, etc. You may find this article on King Kong interesting. It begins this way: King Kong may be a far-fetched creation of Hollywood but scientists say the big ape has some basis in biological fact: animals on islands often ...

Opry time!

Well, just to show you I can relax, I took the day off today, and Mally and I, together with Buddy and Kay Davis, drove to Nashville, Tennessee, (the home of country music) to attend the Opry with our friends the Mitchells. We had a great night of fun and fellowship. I've included some photos of the Opry. Yes, Mally and I do like bluegrass and country music. GREAT TESTIMONY It is so encouraging for us at AiG when we receive testimonies like the following (and we have received so ...

In the news again

I thought it would be good to share some very interesting articles that have appeared during the last two days. But before I get to the news---tomorrow, I will be engaging in another cultural experience! One of the traditions that has arisen in our lives is that each year in December or January, Mally and I and our friends Buddy and Kay Davis travel to Nashville, Tennessee, to attend the Grand Old Opry with our friends the Mitchells. Dr. Tommy Mitchell is now one of AiG’s approved (and popular) speakers. ...

Since my mention of going to the Bengals game, we've had some fun interaction with feedback from a Steelers fan---the fun continues: Sir, you said: My Response? Should I remind him that the Bengals recently thrashed the Pittsburgh Steelers on their HOME TURF!! So why would I want to wear a Steelers jersey?? (insert huge smile here) You forget to mention that Pgh beat Cinncy on their home turf earlier in the season. From Ken: "I'm a young-earth creationist---I only remember recent events!" The feedback continued: Even more importantly, you forgot to apply some of the great teaching and research you include in your many ...

A hospital visit

This morning I found out that Mike Riddle, one of our speakers, had a burst appendix this past Friday and had to have an emergency operation. He spent Christmas Day in hospital unable to eat anything! Mally and I visited Mike and his wife at the hospital today. One of the first things Mike said was, "I'm so glad this happened now---I had taken vacation time anyway! By the time my first speaking engagement for the new year (January 20) comes, I will be ready to go---I won’t miss anything!" Mike and Leslie are ...

Bengals or Steelers?

I received some feedback today that I thought you should read---and then read my comment below: Ken, I loved the pic of you and your daughter at the Bengals game. However, apparently no one has told you since you moved to the U.S.A. that you should ALWAYS wear Pittsburgh STEELERS attire to a football game! That is the AMERICAN thing to do. God bless you continually. I SO much appreciate your work. (but, get a Steeler's jersey). My Response? Should I remind him that the Bengals recently thrashed the Pittsburgh Steelers on their HOME TURF!! So why would I ...
