“Relics” from the past

Before the last world war, about 40--50% of the population in England attended church. Today, estimates suggest the percentage attending church is down to 7.5%. When I first went to England, I saw churches everywhere—but sadly, many turned into shops, antique stores, mosques, etc. I have attached photographs of two buildings in England that I took while there last week. 1. A building that was once a chapel (see sign at the top of the building), but now has been turned into a nightclub (see new sign). ...

Arriving home

TWO FRIDAY ITEMS Mally and I arrived home from England on Friday afternoon. I had two important items to be accomplished: 1. Call into AiG and see the progress on the museum. It was thrilling to see what has been accomplished in ten days. I have attached three photos showing work on the Creation Walk, Graffiti Alley and the Culture in Crisis room. It was also amazing to see what has been done in the bookstore that will open in three weeks! 2. Look at my lawn ...

AiG’s Video Conference ministry takes off!

Guest blog: Tom Miller, Director of Outreach God continues to bless Answers in Genesis in many different ways. While Ken is in the U.K. he has invited several of us to share with you via these guest blogs, and I am excited to be able to give you a glimpse of God’s hand at work in the outreach department. For many months now, the team has been working on a method to respond to the many requests for teaching meetings from smaller churches and organizations. As the ministry grows, we have found ourselves struggling to meet an increased demand for the ...

Walking where Darwin walked

The attached three photographs record our visit on Thursday to "Down House," the house where Darwin and his family resided after they moved from London. This is the house where Darwin wrote On the Origin of Species. We were not allowed to take photographs inside the house, but we saw the actual chair Darwin sat in as he wrote his books. As well as many original pieces of furniture and photographs, the second floor consisted of exhibits meant to teach evolution as fact. Of course, we ...

A day in London

On Wednesday, Mally and I and Monty and Irene White (from AiG--UK) spent the day in London. We traveled to Wesley's chapel. Then we walked across from Wesley's chapel to the Bun Hills field graveyard where many famous Christians are buried. John Bunyan was buried here and a special tomb was built for him depicting scenes from The Pilgrim's Progress on the side. I have attached a photo of Mally, Monty and Irene standing in front of Bunyan's tomb. We spent a few hours at ...

AiG in the Chicago Tribune

On Tuesday (April 25), there was a major front page news story about AiG and the Creation Museum in the Chicago Tribune. Lisa Anderson, the New York bureau chief for the Tribune, visited us recently to obtain information for the story. She did an admirable job in reporting on the work of AiG and the soon-to-open Creation Museum. Here are some excerpts from the article (and a link for you to read the entire article): Minutes from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, the location is no accident, as underscored by the airport's slogan, "Half the U.S. population ...
