Baby boom continues at AiG!
Published August 31st, 2007 in Around AiG, Feedback
We’ve seen a number of babies born to staff members in recent months. Dale Mason, VP of Media and Marketing, sent me this email after seeing two newly blessed AiG couples in church:
“Lee & Candace and Joel & Michelle were in church today [last Sunday] with their newborns. The babies were born within 3 days of each other, they’re both girls, and the families (for both of them this is the first child) live within about a block and half of each other, and in the same neighborhood as staff member Amy [Museum VP Mike Zovath’s assistant] in Burlington.
“Both ...

Evolutionists and peppered moths—in the news again
Published August 30th, 2007 in My Journeys, Thoughts and Things
The famous “peppered moth” example that has appeared in most public school science textbooks over the years is in the news again.
When I was a teacher back in Australia (in the 1970s), this was claimed to be one of the best examples of evolution in action. But I always explained to my students that this was just an example of natural selection in action—which has nothing to do with molecules-to-man evolution. A few years ago, it was reported that the research that gave rise to the peppered moth example had been found to be fraudulent—laboratory moths were glued on trees, ...

Canadian families move because of evolution indoctrination
Published August 29th, 2007 in My Journeys, Thoughts and Things
This is a sad news item reported by WorldNetDaily.com. There is no doubt: Christians are being marginalized more and more in our once-Christianized West:
“Fifteen Christian families from a tiny community of only about 1,300 people are making plans to leave their homes and work behind so that their children will not be forced by the Canadian government [the province of Quebec, to be specific] to attend ‘sanctioned’ schools where evolution is taught. A report in the Vancouver Sun said provincial officials have threatened the families with legal action, including the potential loss of their children to state control, if they ...

Preparing for Scotland
Published August 28th, 2007 in Ministry Updates, My Journeys, Thoughts and Things
As this item was being posted Tuesday, I had arrived in London to prepare for a speaking tour of one of my favorite places in the world: Scotland (just a few hundred miles to the north). I just hope that with a busy travel schedule I will be able to take in some of the incredible scenery there. Please pray that we can equip many Scottish churches to defend the Christian faith in what was once a country filled with Bible-believing churches.
I want to direct you to yesterday’s main web article, as it shared a little ...

Museum critics attack local tourist bureau—makes headline news
Published August 27th, 2007 in Museum Updates, My Journeys, Press Coverage
Obviously worried about the success of the Creation Museum, evolutionist critics are now pounding the local tourist bureau for including wording from AiG’s website describing the museum. This was the headline news in our local Enquirer newspapers on Sunday. The article is more of a hit against the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau (who are only doing their job—and doing what they do with any other attraction—use wording from the attraction’s website to describe the particular attraction), than it is against the Creation Museum.
Actually, the article itself includes a photograph of the Museum showing people in lines ...
