Answers Magazine—It Is Astronomical

I have been reading through the very latest special Answers magazine issue—the astronomy edition. And it really is “astronomical”! I am so proud of the Answers magazine team that put this, the world’s leading creation/worldview magazine, together—from the artists/designers to the writers and editors. There is nothing like this magazine in the world—and subscriptions continue to grow. I have enclosed a few photographs, including one of me with our 18-month-old granddaughter as we looked at the pull-out chart in the special children’s magazine that is included with each issue. ...

Ken Ham and a Dead Horse

When AiG’s CCO, Mark Looy, told me about a newspaper article where a dead horse and I were being compared, I was intrigued and asked him to write this up for my blog. So Mark sent me the following (with one of his usual type puns he is famous for around AiG): On the heels of an election for governor in AiG’s home state of Kentucky, another statewide referendum of sorts was held in the state. One of Kentucky's leading newspapers, the Herald-Leader of Lexington, conducted an unscientific poll earlier this month to determine the state's “most intriguing newsmaker.” Although Ken ...

The Christian World and the Creation Museum

Over the past few months since the opening of the Creation Museum, I have noticed something very interesting---not surprising---but very sad at the same time. The secular world (media, secular institutions, etc) have bombarded AiG and the Creation Museum with requests for interviews---in fact, they still contact us on almost a daily basis. Now we certainly have had our share of publicity from Christian outlets: American Family Radio, Bott Radio Network, Coral Ridge Ministries, Liberty University, and so on. We do appreciate our friends from these Christian organizations, and various others as well. However, it is true to say that the ...

AiG Security—More Than Just Security

When the Creation Museum opened, some from the secular media asked why we needed the very visible security presence we have at AiG and the Creation Museum (including canine units). However, since that time, the increasing numbers of shootings (and other violent acts) in churches, Christian organizations, schools, shopping centers etc., has shown very clearly that the board and leadership of AiG were very wise in ensuring the best possible security existed for the protection of people and property (building and exhibits, etc). In fact, more and more organizations are looking to AiG to advise them in regards ...

A Special AiG Anniversary—“My Voice . . . and Our Story”

Although Answers in Genesis in the United States launched its first newsletter, held its first teaching meeting, etc. in early 1994, our official birth date is actually December 27, 1993 when we filed our papers with the U.S. government. Today, therefore, marks the 14th anniversary of a ministry that God has been blessing mightily (and not just with the wonderful attendance at our new Creation Museum). One of our supporters, who has been following us for all of these 14 years, approached one of our staff members at a high school basketball game here in northern Kentucky. Ron C. recounted how ...

Christmas Celebrations at the Creation Museum

You can still be a part of this! Don’t miss out! Answers in Genesis is thrilled with the monumental success of the first Christmas Celebration at the Creation Museum. This special event began December 14 and continues through December 28. Our beautifully designed outdoor bridges, gazebo, pergola and topiary dinosaurs are aglow with beautiful Christmas lights. Inside you will find decorations custom made by the museum design team. Stars in the Portico point to Christ the King of Christmas, portrayed in the nativity sculpture in the Museum Main Hall. See the attached photographs for a glimpse of this spectacular ...
