Have Humans Created Life?
Published January 25th, 2008 in My Journeys, Current Issues in the WorldTIME online just published an article concerning one of the leading scientists from the human genome project, stating that:
According to a just-released paper in the journal Science, he has gone beyond merely sequencing a genome and has designed and built one. In other words, he may have created life.
Such news was in a newspaper late last year, and AiG’s Dr. Georgia Purdom (PhD in molecular genetics) has already written an article dealing with this report. Here is an excerpt of Dr. Purdom’s article:
Simply put, this is a new form of genetic engineering. . . . Keep in mind that life is not being created from “scratch.” The scientists are using their intelligence to do it! They are using a sequence for the man-made chromosome that is similar to a pre-existing bacterial chromosome, using pre-existing DNA bases to make the man-made chromosome, and putting the chromosome into a pre-existing bacterial cell. All the pre-existing items were created by God!

AiG CONFERENCE COMING TO GEORGIA LATE FEBRUARY
I arrived home Thursday evening after speaking to a group of Christian leaders in Evans, Georgia, as a lead-up to an AiG ANSWERS conference there February 22 and 23 with Dr. David Menton and me. I have enclosed three photographs taken of my activities today. I also had a live TV interview for a news segment on the ABC affiliate.
SPEAKING IN LANCASTER CALIFORNIA
I will be speaking in Lancaster, California, this Saturday through Monday evening. You can find the details from AiG’s website.
CARL KERBY AND KEN HAM SPEAKING IN SAN DIEGO
Carl Kerby and I will be conducting an Answers in Genesis conference in San Diego February 9–11. You can find out details from the AiG website.
Today on the way to the airport I was interviewed by the Religion News Service about AiG’s new Answers Research Journal and the museum (even in winter—in snowy and icy conditions—people continue to pour into the Museum on a daily basis).
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying.
Ken
