Illegal to Believe in God
Published April 30th, 2008 in Current Issues in the World, Ministry Updates
During our International Training Seminar time last week, each of our special international visitors was asked to give a brief testimony about themselves, and the country they represented. These testimonies are very powerful and a good reminder that the teaching of evolution has permeated the entire world and is a major stumbling block to people listening to the gospel, considering God’s Word, etc.
Our visitor from Albania explained that for about 30 years, the Communist government actually made it illegal to believe in God (I believe this is the only country ever to do this). Once Communism fell and missionaries were ...
Coping with Troubles
Published April 29th, 2008 in Feedback, Ministry Updates
Dr. Christian Wei (from Saipan), one of the Christian leaders who attended the International Training Seminar last week, spoke powerfully to the AiG staff in a special devotion on the theme of coping with troubles. He spoke of Christian persecution in some Asian nations and challenged all of us to learn from God’s Word concerning coping with persecution and troubles.
His talk was so powerfully presented that I thought you all should have the opportunity to listen to it. You can listen here.
OUR GOD IS SO BIG
We receive so many testimonies from people after ...
New Noah’s Ark Exhibit at the Creation Museum
Published April 28th, 2008 in Feedback, Museum Updates
In time (hopefully) for the 12-month anniversary celebration week at the Creation Museum in late May, Stephanie and Carolyn (two of our talented sculptors) have been finishing off a new exhibit for the Voyage Room as part of the Noah’s Ark exhibit in the museum. A number of other staff members are working with them for the lighting/fiber optics etc.
I have included a photograph of Stephanie and Carolyn as they were working on the exhibit.
I have also included other photographs of the exhibit showing the exquisite miniatures they have sculpted....
Christian Schools at the Creation Museum
Published April 27th, 2008 in Around AiG
It seems every week (in fact, sometimes almost daily), classes from a Christian school somewhere in the USA visit the Creation Museum. I often see many school buses in the parking lot.
This past week, we were thrilled to welcome students from Ohio Valley Christian School from Gallipolis in Ohio. I have included a photograph of the students as they were about to get onto their bus for the nearly 4 hour trip back home. Because I am away a lot, I don’t get to meet all the Christian school groups. However, I was walking around the grounds ...
Saved at the Creation Museum
Published April 26th, 2008 in Around AiG
God certainly works in ways we totally don’t expect! Yesterday (Friday), a family visited the Creation Museum because their 12-year-old son (Jonathan—see photograph taken with me in my office) asked to see the Creation Museum as his birthday present (He turned 12 on Thursday). Jonathan helped out as a volunteer with our book tables at the Home Educators Conference in Georgia last May. I gave Jonathan a special acknowledgment and presentation in the SFX (Special Effects) theater before I spoke Friday afternoon.
Last evening, I was ...

Intense 1:1 instruction during AiG’s International Training week
The International Training Seminar, sponsored by our Answers WorldWide department, with ten internationals continues this week on a high level of “intensity.” Gathered around the conference table in our AiG Boardroom the trainees have listened to lectures that range from the basic relevance message, the biblical Flood, the race issue, and several more. With each speaker, our candidates scramble to type information into their laptops that they will use in their ministries. Practical sessions on how to use PowerPoint, the Internet, and other available tools created as much intense interest as ...
Creation Museum on Australian TV Quiz Show
Published April 24th, 2008 in Around AiG, Press Coverage
One of AiG’s Australian supporters told me he nearly had to “pick my wife up from the floor” when the contestants on a very popular nationally Australian Televised TV quiz show on ABC TV this past Sunday evening had a question for the contestants about the topic of creation—but the question actually asked where the Creation Museum in the USA was located!! Our supporter wrote:
Ken I thought you would be encouraged to know that the Creation Museum is common knowledge in Australia.
This nationally televised quiz program in prime time Sunday nights includes as one of it’s segments a ...
Creation Museum in the News
Published April 23rd, 2008 in Feedback, Museum Updates, Press Coverage
A reporter for the Kentucky Enquirer came out to the Creation Museum on Monday to ask about whether the rising gas prices are affecting numbers of visitors. Actually, we are finding that number is increasing. The Kentucky Enquirer report (front page on the local section) stated:
Creation Museum sees no sign of gas-cost woes …
PETERSBURG - Officials at the Creation Museum in Petersburg aren’t worried about continually rising gasoline prices when it comes to attracting tourists this summer.
The number of visitors they’ve had since their opening 11 months ago has them feeling positive that growth will continue, they ...
Petting Zoo Is Underway
Published April 22nd, 2008 in Around AiG, Museum Updates
AiG staff members are feverishly working on the construction of a petting zoo to open in conjunction with the 12-month anniversary of the Creation Museum. This will be a great addition to the Creation Museum for kids and adults. I have enclosed two photographs of the construction and the area where the petting zoo will be located (across the lake from the museum building). We have already located some unique animals to be a part of this petting zoo—more on that at a later date.

Raves and Rants about Expelled
Published April 21st, 2008 in Current Issues in the World, Ministry Updates, My Journeys
While the new movie Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed is drawing a lot of raves (we have heard from people who attended four showings on Friday evening, and they reported that clapping occurred each time at movie’s end—plus bursts of laughter at some of the film’s funny scenes), there are, of course, some detractors. In this movie review, the writer compares Ben Stein to guerrilla-style filmmaker Michael Moore in his pan of the movie:

Note that the reviewer completely missed the point of the film when he writes that the movie attempts to make the point that intelligent design ...
