Bellevue Baptist Middle School Visits Creation Museum

Before you read the fascinating testimonies below, I wanted to include two photographs taken yesterday at the Creation Museum of the middle school students from Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. They are on a road trip and stopped in for a day at the Creation Museum. The middle school choir sang at AiG’s staff meeting—and later in the day they all lined up on the Arch Bridge to have their photographs taken.

Honeymoon at the Museum

As one couple were having their photograph taken with Buddy and me at the Creation Museum on our anniversary weekend, they happened to tell me they were just married the day before and were visiting the museum as part of their Honeymoon! I have included a photograph of Jeffrey and Jennifer from Akron, Ohio! Congratulations from all at AiG. And what a great place to spend a day of one’s honeymoon—at the museum that gives the true history of marriage—beginning about 6000 years ago as recorded in Genesis!

How God Is Using AiG to Reach People in Costa Rica

This is a fascinating story of how one of our books, followed by a seminar, an Australia tour, AiG speakers, and personal contact has led to a major outreach in Costa Rica. Follow this through and see the wonderful hand of God on one family; all the events associated with AiG have led to a major outreach to a Spanish speaking country. I trust the example of this one family will encourage all of us—and challenge all of us concerning the difference we can all make in the world for the Lord!

More Museum Anniversary Highlights

Yesterday was another busy day at the Creation Museum, as over 1500 people visited. I spent much of the day speaking with people, having photographs taken, and signing books.
I've included some more photographs of the anniversary weekend:

It was great to see so many friends here this past Friday—the first day of our celebrations for the one-year anniversary of the Creation Museum. For example, it was good to meet up again with Dr. Dan Anderson, president of Appalachian Bible College in Bradley, West Virginia, and his wife Rosalie—they brought a busload of his professors and administrators (and their spouses) on a tour of the museum. I think it was about 50 people in all as I looked at so many blue shirts. That’s about ten hours of driving back and forth between the campus and our museum. ...

In a great piece of journalism, Cincinnati Enquirer reporter Kari Wethington wrote a major article (with beautiful photographs) on the first anniversary of the opening of the Creation Museum. It is so encouraging to see a secular newspaper reporter not only write a fair report (not an anti-AiG agenda-driven piece, as we sometimes see from major news sources) on the Creation Museum and the AiG ministry, but also to do so accurately. Anniversary Celebration and Petting Zoo Opening

Despite some showers off and on during the day, the crowd’s excitement was not dampened as the one-year anniversary celebrations of the Creation Museum’s opening began on Friday.
One of the major events for the day was the opening of the Petting Zoo. For today’s blog, I have given you a photographic record of some of the day’s events:

12 Month Celebrations Begin Today

Twelve months ago, AiG opened the world’s first major creation museum. Over 400,000 visitors have now come to the museum—and indications are (despite the horrible gas prices), it will be a very busy summer. For an update on the all happenings, go to the website. (Opening of the new petting zoo, hot-air balloon rides, spectacular fireworks display this evening, opening of a new café, and many other exciting happenings are scheduled this weekend and throughout the week.)
