Who Said This and Where Did It Appear?
Published January 30th, 2009 in Around AiG, Current Issues in the World, FeedbackWho Said This?
Moreover, given the increasing diversity of America’s population, the dangers of sectarianism have never been greater. Whatever we once were, we are no longer just a Christian nation; we are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.
Well, the new President of the United States, Barack Obama, stated this in his autobiography, The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream (New York: Crown Publishers, 2006). It is actually a very similar statement to that made by the President in his inaugural address earlier this month.
And . . .
Where Did It Appear?
Well, it has also appeared in the Washington Post newspaper, January 20, 2009, in a major advertisement placed by the American Humanist Association. In addition, beside the photograph of President Obama in this major American newspaper are the words, “Living Proof that Family Values Without Religion Build Character” (based on a reference to another quote made by President Obama concerning his family upbringing). At the bottom of the advertisement it states: “Congratulations From The American Humanist Association . . . being good without god since 1941.”

The President, sadly, is certainly right about the fact America is no longer a Christian nation! Please pray for the ministry of AiG as we do our best to shine the light of biblical truth on this increasingly secular nation.
Five Year Old Understands Salvation
Again, we praise the Lord for such testimonies as this one received this week from a mom in Texas:
I just wanted to let you know that the ‘A is for Adam’ children’s video helped my child [5 years old] understand his need for salvation, and yesterday he asked Jesus into His heart! Thank you, Answers in Genesis, for all you do and your commitment to the Word of the Lord.

A White New Year
It really has been a white new year in Northern Kentucky this year. I know 9 inches of snow is nothing compared to a number of other states north of us, but the ice we got caused major headaches as we drove! I thought you would be interested in what the Creation Museum grounds look like right now (note the dinosaur’s new set of “teeth”!):
Devotion
Key to understanding
(Luke 24:27) And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
(Luke 24:45) Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.
The key to understanding all the Scriptures is to see in all the Scriptures the Lord Jesus Christ, which comes as we ask Him to open our understanding.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
