Fascinating and Challenging Testimony

As the AiG board of directors is meeting this week, a different board member has been bringing a message for our staff’s normal morning AiG staff devotion and prayer time for each of the mornings they are here. These messages are being recorded so blog readers can also listen to them. On Wednesday morning, board member Dan Chin from Chicago gave a fascinating and challenging testimony to the staff.     You can hear Dan’s testimony at this audio link. Tomorrow, I will provide a link for the message Dr. ...

Evidence of Ice Forming Quickly?

In a recent news article, there was a very interesting admission in regard to ice formation in the Antarctica. As you read this, keep in mind the work of AiG friend Michael Oard and his post-Flood, Ice Age model in which he says ice formed quite rapidly as a result of conditions at the end of Noah’s Flood. The news item stated: Jagged mountains the size of the Alps have been found entombed in Antarctica's ice, giving new clues about the vast ice sheet that will raise world sea levels if even a fraction of it melts, scientists say. ...

Are Creationists in Trouble?

Are creationists in trouble, now that evidence for evolution just can’t be denied?! Well, according to the Boston Globe, evolution has been observed happening quickly. In an article entitled, “Cod in the Act of Evolution,” we read: Evolution still brings to mind the kind of change that happens over millions of years, such as humans evolving from forerunners of apes. Now, note how this sentence talks about millions of years and humans (the human kind) evolving from some ape-like ancestor (some ape-like kind). So, the writer is using the word evolution for ape-like-creature-to-human transition to set things up for the ...

What Is the New Animal at the Petting Zoo?

Many of you may remember my recent blog where I showed a photograph of our recent addition to the Petting Zoo at the Creation Museum and asked blog readers to see if they know the biblical kind it belongs to—and what its name should be. (Image by Amanda Ketron) Well first of all, let me share samples of some of the responses (and thanks to all of you who sent in emails—we do read them all). It is also thrilling to see people adding other comments about the ministry of AiG being a blessing ...

Rejoicing in Heaven

There was rejoicing in Heaven yesterday. At the end of the service I spoke at in Florida yesterday morning, a lady and her adult daughter both said they “wanted to be in the Ark of salvation” and committed their lives to Christ. To me, this is what Answers in Genesis is all about: preaching the gospel to see people’s hearts and minds changed toward God and His Word! Praise the Lord! Five Ways the World Can End Recently, the Fox News website had an article called “Five Ways The World Can End.” The fifth way they propose is the earth will ...

The Key to Haltering Our Moral Freefall

In referencing the Answers for Darwin conference at Thomas Road Baptist Church recently in Virginia, the pastor, Jonathan Falwell, provided a commentary for WorldNetDaily that stated: Ken Ham, founder and president of Answers in Genesis, says that because America has relinquished its moral heritage in favor of largely secular pursuits, our fellow Americans have no real understanding of the Bible or Jesus Christ. Along with Liberty University’s Dr. David DeWitt and others, Ham just completed an inspiring three-day "Answers for Darwin" seminar at Thomas Road Baptist Church. He stated during the conference, "Your starting point determines your worldview." It is therefore not ...

New “Down Under” Resident at AiG

We have a new resident with us from Australia—in our Petting Zoo! He does have a mate coming—but what a thrill to have this unique animal here right across the lake from the Creation Museum. This exhibit was sponsored by members of our family from Australia and here in the USA: (Image by Amanda Ketron) Can You Name This Down Under Resident? Can you name what kind of critter this is? What kind (i.e., biblical kind) does he belong to? What is the common name given to this animal? Let’s see how many of you can get these ...

Interesting Visitors Yesterday

As I was flying back from Virginia yesterday, many interesting visitors were touring the Creation Museum. Michael Shermer, perhaps America’s leading atheist (or “nontheist” as he might call himself) and who states that he was once an evangelical until he went to what supposedly was a Christian college in California and eventually began to “lose his faith,” toured the museum with students from Ohio State University, as well as members of a Cincinnati skeptics group. Michael, whom I met at a broadcasters convention last year and invited to tour the museum, is best known for being the editor ...
