Spectacular Christmas Light Display “Evolving”

Our talented grounds staff at the Creation Museum is using their creativity and high-quality designed lights to once again turn the Creation Museum gardens into a spectacular light display as part of the phenomenal Live Nativity program for this Christmas. Here are three photos to give you a sneak preview of just a little of what you can expect to come: ...

Did Evolution Help Get President Obama Elected?

Well, a recent news report states: Why did Barack Obama win the US election and did the fact he is over six feet tall influence the voters? The authors of a paper published in Current Biology this month argue that due to 'a hangover from our evolutionary past' factors like age, sex, height and weight play a major part in the determining our choice of leaders. You can read the entire report at: http://www.physorg.com/news175360092.html However, the Bible makes it clear that God raises up kings and destroys kingdoms—God is sovereignly in control of everything—even the election of President Obama.  And the ...

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

I’m sure you have heard of this very popular TV program.  On this past Thursday evening, one of the questions asked of the contestant was: Displaying dinosaurs and humans living together, the  Creation Museum is dedicated to refuting what scientific theory? Evolution Thermodynamics Gravity Electromagnetism It is interesting to see the Creation Museum name popping up in all sorts of places—it is certainly making an impact! A Vegetarian Spider? I thought you might be interested in this news item I came across on Fox News regarding a “vegetarian spider.”  The report claims:  ‘"This is really the first spider known to specifically 'hunt' plants; it is also ...

Face of Things to Come

Answers in Genesis is well advanced on building a new exhibit that will be installed in the Creation Museum in next few months—to equip people with more answers concerning the claims of secular scientists about man’s supposed evolution. The new exhibit features information about the supposed relative of humans—LUCY! As part of the exhibit, Creation Museum sculptors—under the direction of Dr. David Menton of our staff (PhD in biology, and an award-winning professor of anatomy)—have produced the head of what we believe Lucy really looked like. Evolutionist models of Lucy have her looking partly human. ...

A Battle in Ohio over our Kentucky Museum

A battle of letters to the editor to an Ohio newspaper has been occurring over our Creation Museum. The first salvo was actually a hit piece against us by an editor for the Mansfield News Journal (July 26) who was particularly nasty in his column.  (This anti-museum commentary was, when last we checked, no longer on the paper’s website—we have a photocopy of the piece back in the office, but our administrative offices are closed for two days, for Sunday and Labor Day, and so we don’t have access to scan the editorial and post it here.) Here is the ...

Our Speakers Abroad and in the U.S.

On Thursday morning one of our researchers and speakers, Bodie Hodge, led our staff's morning chapel time. He spoke about a creation conference held several months ago in the country of Peru, where he was one of the presenters. (One of our scientists, Dr. David Menton, spoke at this creation conference two years ago.) While in Peru, Bodie was able to reconnect with our International Training Seminar (ITS) graduates, Creous and Elizabeth Ramdath of Peru. They had spent several days at the Creation Museum two years ago to get in-depth apologetics training during our intensive ITS program. On ...

Lessons from Japan

After the very successful Creation Conference we held a few days ago in Japan (and the videotaping of my translated presentations), Mally and I had the opportunity to do a little bit of touring with our good friend Michiko (she runs the Japanese office of Creation Research Japan). I have many photos and wanted to share just a few of them with you that I found quite fascinating in what one can learn from knowing the background to them. Japanese Tea Ceremony We were able to observe a Japanese tea ceremony. We watched as first of all a couple of small sweet ...

Scenic Wonders at the Creation Museum and in Arizona

Before I get to our report on a unique raft trip through the Grand Canyon that was conducted recently, I wanted to show you a photo taken on an unusual foggy morning for us at the Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky earlier this week. The photo is by Matt Graubner of our staff, who came early to the museum on Tuesday and walked through our lush botanical gardens and took some photos. By the way, we are closing in on 850,000 visitors in just 27 months! A few weeks ...

See—and Hear—the Petting Zoo

Dr. Tommy Mitchell, a full-time speaker with Answers in Genesis for almost three years now—but who is also a long-time friend of ours—has been keeping very busy in recent months. Even though many ministries see a slowdown in activity during the summer, we certainly haven’t! Tommy has spoken at numerous churches, apologetics conferences, and homeschool conferences over the summer. In addition he and our other speakers have been participating in our popular "Speaker Series" talks at the Creation Museum when not on the road. If you talk to Tommy about his summer’s work, however, what you’ll most likely ...

While I Was in Japan . . .

Well, it’s always exciting (yet tiring) to travel internationally and give several talks, but one of the unfortunate things about being away from the offices is missing so many fascinating individuals who continue to pour through the doors of our Creation Museum. On one day alone recently: Mr. Dan Cathy, president and CEO of Chick-fil-A, which has about 1500 restaurants throughout the United States. He only had about 2 hours to spend with us because of his own hectic schedule in our Cincinnati metropolitan area, but he was certainly impressed with the museum and its exhibits. What really caught his ...
