Have you seen the mastodon in the Main Hall of the Creation Museum? This casting of a mastodon skeleton from Newark, Ohio has been in the Main Hall since last summer and guests frequently comment on its size. You can even select a picture of this creature as a background at the Foto FX souvenir photo booth. The mastodon has undergone some improvements since everything was first erected in the summer.
A beautiful bas relief now decorates the base that supports this massive skeleton.
Sometimes a bit of dust does need to be cleaned off the casting. We assure younger guests that the mastodon isn’t being tickled.
