In my role as ministry content administrator for Answers in Genesis, I get a “sneak peek” at many of the new and exciting things that are happening at the Creation Museum. Recently the Editorial Review Board that I lead had the privilege of reviewing and editing signage for our new allosaurus exhibit. It was thrilling to see “Ebenezer” revealed this morning! I was amazed to see how large he is and excited to see such a high-quality specimen on display with signage that reflects the truth of God’s Word in understanding this dinosaur. I encourage you to read more about this world-class fossil and exhibit.
Kids Free in 2014
As I watched Ebenezer unveiled, I thought about how much I look forward to bringing my daughter Elizabeth to see the new exhibit. She actually asked me this morning if she could take the day off from school to come see it! I love to see her interest in coming to the museum to learn about fossils and rock layers all from a biblical perspective.
Our children are bombarded every day with the lies of evolution and millions of years, and our job as parents, grandparents, Sunday school teachers, etc., is to educate and equip them with the truth of God’s Word from the very first verse. This year the Creation Museum has made this even easier with our “Kids Free in 2014” campaign. Children under 12 are admitted free with one paying adult. Find out more about this promotion and all the fun things there are to do at the Creation Museum this summer.
New Wall in the Grand Plaza
Last but not least, as you head into the entrance of the Creation Museum you will notice some big changes in our Grand Plaza. Gone are the potted trees and in its place a wall is being constructed that will have lots of greenery and places to sit to enjoy the beautiful summer days ahead. Check out some of the early construction photos and pray for good weather to finish the project soon.
You can count on this post being the first in my official return to the blogosphere! I enjoy writing and sharing about my ministry and life and plan to make a weekly effort to do so once again.
Keep fighting the good fight of the faith!
