Christian Teacher Training Course

Last Saturday, AiG speaker Mike Riddle conducted his seventh Christian Teacher Training (CTT) class this year. The course was held right here at the Creation Museum and had 53 students.

The course is designed to prepare Christians to teach and present accurately (and with confidence) a biblical worldview of origins using the Bible, scientific evidence properly interpreted, and critical thinking skills. The students in this recent class came from seven different states and included Christian school teachers, Sunday school teachers, pastors, youth leaders, homeschool educators, and parents.

Here was one comment we received:

My wife and I enjoyed your training very much on Saturday. Your coverage of the multiple subjects was so professional and succinct. You have a wonderful gift we all are blessed with. I especially enjoyed the last part where you gave clear instruction on how we can put this material to work and teach others in our churches and groups.

Future class schedules include the following:

  • February 21: Eagle River/Anchorage, Alaska
  • February 28: Hadden Heights, New Jersey
  • March 14: Monclova, Ohio
  • August 22: New Whiteland, Indiana

“Ya’ll Got a Lot Goin’ On!”

Here is a great story I wanted to share that connects with the Creation Museum’s Christmas events:

Just thought I’d share this amusing story with you for encouragement. Last Sunday as we were driving home after church, I was telling my husband all the events happening at the Creation Museum (starting this Friday . . . I was hoping to convince him about taking our family for a trip). Well, I was going on about the live nativity, the planetarium special, the hay rides, the lights, and when I got to the buffet and concert he stopped me. (You know how husbands sometimes only HALF listen to their wives!)

He said, “Where did you say again all of this was going on?”

I smiled, “At the Creation Museum.”

He smiled and said, “Wow, they’ve really got a lot going on.”

I replied, “Yes, isn’t it GREAT?!”

So, I’m saving my Christmas money (that’s been given to me as gifts) and hoping that some time during Christmas break we’ll be able to make a trip, because, after all, ya’ll got A LOT goin’ on!

Devotion

Must

(Luke 2:49)  And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?

People are God’s business (bringing them to and strengthening them in Christ), and we view God’s business as not a may do or a should do, but a must do.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
