Encouragement

by Ken Ham

Even though we receive the expected emails, phone calls, and so on that ridicule us for the stand we take on biblical authority and the gospel, we do get an overwhelming number of very encouraging emails, letters, phone calls, and so on, so please keep sending these—they encourage our staff! Here is an email I received from a dear AiG supporter in Australia while I was in Seattle:

Praying for you and the busy schedule you have. Please take courage from the fact that we are warned that God’s ministry will be ridiculed & the Gospel will be foolishness to the Gentiles. I've just been watching a couple of DVDs where I have been challenged to more fully consider Christ and His crucifixion.

As well as a means of providing the perfect sacrifice for sin, it was argued that the cross was used by God to emphasise His glory and amazing plan through the hurts and troubles that we face. If you are facing some trials at this time, please be encouraged by the fact that He is indeed our GOOD MASTER, and we are His servants. Because He is Good, He has equipped each one of us, His children you, to do the deeds He has prepared in advance for us to do . . . nothing more . . . nothing less.

Be bold and remain firm in the love of Christ Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. He is continuing to do His work. What a great God!! Love and prayers always.

A Free Trip to the Creation Museum

At the Seattle WATCH Home Educators conference where I just spoke, a number of sponsors paid for the airfares, accommodations, and entrance fees to send a family of four to the Creation Museum (over 2,000 miles away)! To enter the drawing, one had to be a member (or become a member) of the WATCH organization. I was asked on Saturday to pull out the winning member’s ticket! Here is a photograph of me drawing the winning ticket:

God’s Design Science Curriculum

Answers in Genesis has begun publishing a number of curricula resources that can be used for home school, Christian school, etc. Recently, AiG upgraded its elementary through middle school science curriculum (God’s Design series) to all color! Here is a response from an excited user of AiG’s science curriculum:

This is the second year I have used your “God’s Design for . . .” Science curriculum. While I liked the older black and white books, the new colorful books with cd supplement are WONDERFUL. I use them for my 5th, 6th, and 7th graders and they like them better than any other Science text that we have used. Thank you for providing a Science program with a Biblical worldview that is homeschooler friendly.

You can find out more about AiG’s curricula from the Answers Bookstore website.

Devotion

“Adequate”

(Leviticus 4:2–3) Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the Lord concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them…then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the Lord for a sin offering.

The offering of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross is so adequate for our protection that it covers even sins we have committed in ignorance.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
