Special Dedication

by Ken Ham

This morning at 8:30 a.m., the AiG staff met in the Creation Museum gardens to dedicate the new Japanese Koi pond. I will have some photos and a report in tomorrow’s blog. The gardens have become an exhibit in their own right. This year the rain forest area looked spectacular. Praise the Lord for the vision of AiG’s landscaper Tim Schmitt and the great work of his assistants and volunteers.

Take Me out to the Ballgame

Wednesday evening we were invited to attend a Cincinnati Reds baseball game at Great American Ball Park—where they beat the St. Louis Cardinals (who were cheered on by my son-in-law, who grew up in southern Illinois and not too far from St Louis), 6–1.

In the photo you see Renee Looy, my wife Mally, my son Jeremy, me, and our host Ed. Barely seen in the photo (bottom left) is the box containing a “bobblehead doll” of Reds player Brandon Phillips. It was given to Jeremy by a kind usher who, after observing Jeremy wearing a football jacket to the baseball game (he’s a big Cincinnati Bengals fan—notice the orange Bengals jacket), tried to get Jeremy more in the baseball mood by giving him the baseball bobblehead.

In the other photo, you see John Pence of our staff with his wife Lisa enjoying the game—in the background you can see a Reds player (Drew Stubbs) hitting a single and running to first base.

In the past few months, the team's manager Dusty Baker and pitcher Micah Owings have toured our Creation Museum—the museum (in northern Kentucky) is only about a 20-minute drive from the ballpark.

By the way, after years of watching cricket, I’m now finally getting the hang of baseball!

Devotion

Only one flash of anger can have long-lasting damage

(Numbers 20:10–12) And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, you rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron, Because you believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

We know how vital it is for us each morning to give control of our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ, as it only takes one flash of anger for us to do so much damage.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
