Looking for a great alternative this year for your family’s vacation, for children and teens as well? Consider joining Answers in Genesis in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Tennessee for our family Answers Mega Conference.
Not only will there be exceptional teaching sessions for adults and teens, this year we’ve added an excellent children’s program—which will feature AiG’s latest VBS, The Kingdom Chronicles; your kids will see how God’s Word connects to every area of their life!
This VBS program at our conference will help children to see that the Bible is as relevant today as it was thousands of years ago, and so they will know its amazing message of salvation is true! With The Kingdom Chronicles, your “knights” and “maidens” will be equipped to put on the full armor of God so they can stand strong in the battle for truth. They’ll love the fun songs and the daily drama. The evangelistic appeal of this VBS is strong!
We have also arranged time to be set aside for some great local activities and exciting attractions, such as Dollywood, Dixie Stampede, and WonderWorks that will make this vacation fun for the whole family.
I will be speaking at the Answers Mega Conference, along with several others, including Tony Perkins, head of the Family Research Council in Washington, DC.
Would you please forward this blog item to other families that might think about attending with you in this beautiful part of America? Thank you.
A “Wheaton” I Can Endorse*
I wanted to bring a Christian leader and his essay contest to your attention—a contest that can lead to a scholarship to The Master’s College in California. David Wheaton is the host of the radio program The Christian Worldview, and he recorded an interview with me on Wednesday (for a broadcast that will be aired in a few weeks). My time with him prompted me to let you know about his scholarship contest, as well as Master’s College.
As you may know, this year’s AiG theme is related to reaching young people (it’s called “Standing Our Ground, Rescuing Our Kids”). I particularly want to let you know of like-minded groups—like David’s, plus Master’s College—that are reaching youth with the message that the Bible can be trusted from the very first verse. David is a former highly ranked, international tennis player, and he is now the head of a ministry and a radio program called The Christian Worldview. See www.TheChristianWorldview.org
Through David’s ministry, students can win a $4,000 scholarship to The Master’s College in Santa Clarita, California. It’s one of the few creationist, Christian colleges in the world, and it is led by president and pastor/teacher John MacArthur. Along with the $4,000 tuition scholarship to the Master’s College, there will be free airfare, lodging, and meals to attend the school’s College View Weekend next month—March 21-23.
This essay contest is eligible for high school students and college transfers who are planning on attending The Master’s College starting in the fall of this year. They must be a new student to The Master’s College.
Here is the essay topic: “What are the most important foundations of the Christian worldview and why?” (600–750 words). The deadline is Sunday, February 24, 2013.
The essay contest winner and the essay will be posted in March at www.TheChristianWorldview.org. Anyone who submits a valid essay will receive a free copy of Pastor MacArthur’s book, Found: God’s Will.
Essays are to be sent to David at feedback@TheChristianWorldview.org (you can send the essay in the body of your email and/or as a PDF attachment).
Include the following on the first page or on the cover page:
- First and last name
- Age, school, year
- Phone number
- Email address
- Essay title
- Word count
Now, by submitting an essay, you are pledging, says David, that you are the original author of your essay.
If you have questions, write to feedback@TheChristianWorldview.org.
The Master’s College is a national sponsor of The Christian Worldview, a nationally syndicated radio program that airs on about 200 stations. For more information on The Master’s College, visit www.Masters.edu.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
