Visit the New Ark Encounter Website

Last week, we launched a spectacular redesign of the Ark Encounter website. Our web department tells me the “new site has been built on a more stable platform, with better architecture, and it’s much easier to maintain.” This much cleaner version of the site also has great new content and a beautiful illustration of the Ark on the landing page:

We’ve also added new interactive floor plans of the Ark (these are not the final plans and are subject to change). Visitors to the site can hover over different sections of the Ark to see where various exhibits will be located:

What’s more, there’s a section of featured blogs and articles related to the Ark Encounter, as well as an improved donation page, where you can find out how you can be a part of our mission to build an evangelistic Noah’s Ark. The donation system has been updated to accept international donations online as well!

Devastating Typhoon in the Philippines

Last week, Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines and caused an incredible amount of devastation and death. The news images are horrific. With food and medical supplies running low and the death toll still uncertain, many in the Philippines are certainly wondering why such tragedies occur.

The answer is found in the pages of Scripture, where we learn that the origin of suffering and death is Adam’s sin in Genesis 3. If you, your family, or someone you know has been affected by Typhoon Haiyan or any other tragedy, we want to offer you our booklet on death and suffering as a free download.

And if you feel called to give financially to the relief effort for the affected areas of the Philippines, we suggest you look into Samaritan’s Purse ministries. We have been promoting their “Operation Christmas Child” outreach at our Creation Museum this time of year—as people help us send toys and other items placed in a shoebox to needy children in Third World nations—and so we have also become aware of its emergency relief efforts in the Philippines. You can read about their response team and donate on their website.

Please continue to pray for the people affected by Typhoon Haiyan, that they would not only find relief from pain and hunger, but that they would also hear and believe the gospel of Christ before it’s too late.
