AiG Speaker Visits University of Cincinnati

I’m always thrilled when Answers in Genesis has an opportunity to impact students with the truth of God’s Word. Recently, AiG’s Dr. David Menton was invited to speak to the Christian pharmacy student group at University of Cincinnati (about a 30-minute drive from our Creation Museum in northern Kentucky).

Dr. Menton, who taught at Washington University’s prestigious school of medicine in St. Louis for 34 years, shared one of his popular talks, The Seeing Eye with pharmacy and medical students in attendance.

The students appeared to be thrilled with his talk—the president of the student group said Dr. Menton was “absolutely phenomenal” and talked of inviting him back to speak to additional student medical science groups in the future.

Dr. Menton speaks regularly at the Creation Museum, and in an engaging, often humorous, and entertaining way, presents different workshops revealing the majesty and glory of our Creator and the reliability of the Bible.

It is so important that students learn to think from a biblical worldview of God as the Creator. These students are no doubt taught in most medical classes that the human body is simply the result of random, chance processes. Secular universities teach students that they are simply highly evolved animals and that life is the result of naturalistic processes. But the incredible design of our bodies points to creation! Scripture reveals that this Creator is Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:16) who stepped into history to save us. These med students are the next generation of medical professionals, and the secular world is working hard to convince them that there is no God and that life can be explained naturalistically. We need to equip these students to think biblically and to understand that they were carefully fashioned in God’s own image (Genesis 1:27). Life did not evolve but was specially created by God.
