A Letter I Received

Below is a letter I received from a gentleman I met through my ministries with Answers WorldWide. Please pray for John and his country, India.

Dear Dr. Crandall,

My name is John I study at Temple Baptist College in Cincinnati; I met you once at the creation museum along with Dr. Paturi and also another time at the Telugu Christian Conference in New Jersey. I am writing this mail to thank you for the blessing that you where in my personal life. Your sermon on the Rosh Hashanah was extremely enlightening; I and my school mate could not stop discussing the same for almost 2 weeks. I am now in India for my summer break and shared that message and also the creation message with other believers and pastors here as well, and they have found it to be a blessing. Thank you for being such a blessing in our lives.

The modern Indian society is stuck in two extremes, while one section is uneducated and remains polytheistic the other moves towards atheism due to the education system which strongly advocates Evolution. I personally feel that God wants me to take creationism seriously and help the millions of confused young Indians who seem to moving from hopelessness to hopelessness. One hopelessness that advocates many gods, while yet an other that denies God. Jesus is truly the only hope for India; I am willing to take this message of hope to my perishing brethren in India.

I thank you and all the staff at AiG for being such a blessing in the lives of millions of people in Indiaand around the world. It is indeed a great joy to know that I labor with fellow laborers like you, for the one and only true God who spoke the world into existence.

Olympics Outreach—Update

AiGWorldWide will be ministering next February in Vancouver, British Columbia, atthe XXI Winter Olympic Games. We need servant-minded helpers! Canada’sbeautiful city of Vancouver, with its nearby Whistler Mountain and other sites,has been preparing for these Olympics since 2003. Father's Day

David and Diana Crandall spent Father’s Day in the Ancient City of Ephesus in the Country of Turkey. They have been re-reading the book of the Bible named after the city. Hundreds of Biblical thoughts raced through their minds as they literally stood where the Apostle Paul stood to proclaim the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the pagan city. They recalled Paul’s words to “HONOR YOUR FATHER” on this very special day of the year.

It should be noted that Paul wasted no time in the book to mention Creation to the Ephesians’. In fact in Ephesians 1:4 Paul wrote: “For He chose us in Him before the CREATION of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.” Later as he wrote to the Ephesus Church he reminded them: “who (God) created all things” Ephesians 3:9.

It has been an exciting day as we have walked in the steps of the Apostle Paul.

When Terror Struck His Heart

Forty-Six years ago Dr. David Crandall, International Director of AiG WorldWide stood with hundreds of other horrified onlookers and watched a young University student jump from the top of the Roman Coliseum. Dr. Crandall and his wife Diana returned to that site in Rome yesterday and sadly remembered that horrible day so long ago, however, a day that would change his life forever.

David has often said that he promised God on that day that he would take the hope of the Gospel to the world to save lives physically and spiritually. That long ago commitment brought him to Answers In Genesis to enable our AiG missionary work to grow and thrive.

The New Answers Book 2 has the full story of that fateful and frightful day in Rome and how it changed his life---Crandall wrote the conclusion of that best selling AiG book. That story from Rome has now been translated into Japanese and being used successful to reach that Country that experiences over 30,000 suicides per year.

Genesis in Jerusalem

I had the joy of planning and orchestrating the AiG Holy Land Tour and I was so excited because of our previous 17 visit to Israel and Jordon. However, because of a death in the family I needed to cancel out of the tour just weeks before it was planned to begin. I was so glad to hear the report of the tour and the many blessing that all who traveled to the Holy Lands received.

Answers in Genesis and Creation Research Japan Sign Agreement

It's the first of its kind in our 15-year history: Answers in Genesis and Creation Research Japan have signed an agreement that allows CRJ not only to translate our creation/gospel materials into Japanese, but also to print AiG books and duplicate DVDs in Japan. It's the "delivery" part that makes this agreement different than what we've done in the past.

The new relationship with CRJ will be a great means to get Bible-affirming resources more quickly and inexpensively into a nation that desperately needs the gospel. This is because we will no longer have to produce the Japanese-language materials in the U.S. and then ship them all the way across the Pacific. Having this Japanese-based cooperative outreach will save multiple thousands of dollars each year in shipping costs, and will get the resources completed more quickly.

Michiko Mizumura of CRJ met this past March with Dr. David R. Crandall, Director of AiG's "Answers WorldWide" missionary arm, to sign this historic document. CRJ (which has had many of its members travel to America to meet with us and tour the Creation Museum) and Answers in Genesis are now what could be called "sister ministries." We share the same biblical approach to Genesis chapters 1-11 and hold the same respect for the authority and accuracy of the Word of God.

We are also pleased to report that Answers WorldWide is working on similar agreements with Christian leaders in Peru and South Korea. Please pray for those to blossom as well, and that the wider distribution of creation/gospel resources into the Land of the Rising Sun will be blessed by God.

Testimonial from International Training Seminar

March 20, 2009 - This is a pivotal date for my wife and I as we stepped onto Korean Air headed for Cincinnati Airport for a week's worth of training with a Creation Apologetics Ministry—Answers in Genesis.

Besides spending our 13th Wedding Anniversary (23 March) enjoying real American ice cream (thanks to Dr.Crandall and his team), this training has expanded our view on the critical importance of developing a Biblical Worldview in all areas—especially in domains where the opinion of man has superseded the authority of God's Word. We are now so excited about home schooling our two daughters in subjects of science and history from the God's perspective!

Also, we look forward to working with Christian families who desire to provide real answers to the next generation who is growing up in an ever increasing skeptical, humanistic and anti-God world.

We thank God for the generosity of Mr.Ken Ham, Dr.Crandall and the Answers in Genesis team for organizing this training. The friendship with fellow believers from Australia, India, Russia, Moldova, Egypt, Scotland, Hungary and Portugal really made this a fantastic experience for my wife and I.

Prayer Request

Dr. Crandall arrived safely in Japan last Thursday (March 5) and has hit the ground running…as usual. Just this morning we received news that he will be speaking at a church in Korea this Sunday, March 15.

Koreans concept of a mega-church is much different of what we think of here in the States. This Korean church has an average attendance of 20,000 each week which is small by their standards! There are five service times at 9:30 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:30 pm, and 3:00 pm.

Please pray for Dr. Crandall as he has many different meetings this week in Japan and Korea. Pray for his strength (he left with the flu) and that God would bless these speaking opportunities and work in the hearts of the people.

News from Georgia

We recently received this letter from a missionary in the country of Georgia:

“Answers in Genesis played a HUGE role in my life. After coming to Christ in 1990, I still often struggled with believing the Bible, and especially struggled to believe God had forgiven me. My father was a Christian and Bible teacher, but he believed in long ages. I can remember thinking, if “all” doesn’t mean “all” when it talks about the flood “ALL the high hills and ALL the high mountains” ALL the whole earth, etc, maybe it doesn’t mean ALL when it says God forgives ALL our sins. Then my sister gave me the book, the Genesis Flood, and I began reading. Then an AIG seminar came to my town, “Greenville SC” and I attended. I soaked up everything like a sponge! Through your ministry, I gained a passionate love for and trust in God’s Word, learning that every word is true and trustworthy.

“Now, I often use your materials in my ministry. I use Answers magazine with some of my English students (I also do some tutoring in English) and I used your materials on death and suffering when working with refugees.”

We praise the Lord that He is using this ministry around the world to strengthen believers’ faith and their confidence in God’s Word.

163,602 Miles—7 Times Around the World

The Apostle Paul told Timothy to be certain that he used his training to teach others. We at Answers WorldWide are committed to training people from all over the world to defend the Bible from Genesis 1:1.

Last year 10 internationals received creation speaker training at our International Training Seminar. In the last months these graduates have held dozens of seminars before thousands of people.

Another 12 Internationals are prepared to travel a combined 163,602 miles for the March 21-28 ITS program. WorldWide raises the funds so that these chosen trainees can receive training that will challenge and change their lives. This year’s class comes from 9 different countries: Russia, Hungary, Moldova, India, Portugal, Egypt, Malaysia, Australia and Scotland. After this Seminar, we will have Creation Speakers ministering in 15 Countries that represent every continent in the world except Antarctica.

Two of last years candidates have had seminars in China, and one of this year’s candidates will conduct seminars all over the Arab world including Iraq, Iran and Syria. Not only is this ministry discipleship, it is also missions with a global impact.

Unconventional methods--Same message

It's always exciting to hear the different ways God uses to further the message of the Gospel. Just today we received this email from a missionary in Haiti who has put together a translation team for the Creole language and had a chance to recruit help...in a rather unconventional way:

“Here's a short note that might interest you. The UN provides transportation for the prison ministry that we do since we are installing water filters in the prisons [in Haiti]. We have lots of conversation time with the UN people and try to evangelize to them when we have opportunity. One particular gentleman is a Haitian-American that works here in Port. We have been talking alot about translation etc. He really had no interest in translating Biblical literature so we thought we would see if he would be interested in doing Answers articles. The other day we were riding with him in the car to a prison (about a 3 hour trip) and handed him a magazine opened to the sea bear article and asked if he would be interested in translating it. He stopped the driver, got out to get a piece of paper and immediately started translating. He finished the article before we arrived at our destination (and ran out of paper). He continued flipping through the magazine and came to the wilberforce article, I asked if he needed more paper and he said yes and started working on the wilberforce article! Before the day was over he had finished that too. In a conversation that my father-in-law had with him later he made statement like "I'd never thought about it that way before". What a unique opportunity and way to reach someone with the truth of the gospel. He is interested in doing more so we plan to take advantage of it!”

What a unique way of sharing the Gospel! Please pray for this man, that God would work in his life and use this as a way to reach him. Our Creole translation team is also very close to completing translations for a new Creole website which will be launched soon! God continues to work in amazing ways!

Ongoing Impact in Mexico

In the summer of 2006, Ken Ham, Dr. David Crandall, and our AV crew traveled to Mexico to film the Creation Mini-Series in Spanish. It’s been a blessing to hear how the conferences have made a difference. Just recently we received another letter from a man who attended the conference:

“I want you to know that the video-conferences you gave us are bringing so much blessings to our brothers and sisters as well to some non-christian friends of mine. I have been using them in my classes and teachings. I have made various copies of them and have shared them with another pastors and churches and they have told me that are really good. Thank you very much for your help and your willingness to share this invaluable material with us.”

Japan 2009

We recently received this newsletter (see below) from Creation Research Japan that announces the AiG events that will take place in Tokyo next year. Dr. David Crandall of Answers WorldWide will be in Japan in March of 2009 to prepare for the event next August with Ken Ham. Ken will be presenting the Creation Mini Series which will be translated live into Japanese and filmed for DVD distribution all over Japan.

A Surprise Result in Japan

Resources to Malaysia

Answers WorldWide provided 150 books of The Lie: Evolution to those at the conference in Malaysia. Jerry Layton (pictured at booktable at right), an ABWE missionary to the Philippines who was with Dr. Crandall at the conference, sent this update:

It’s good to report we were able to distribute all the books. We had seven left over which we took with us to Singapore, where the church just happened to have seven pastors who did not yet have The Lie. Victor did a wonderful job helping me there. We spoke Sunday at the Gospel Light Christian Church which partners with Doane Baptist Church missions outreach in Asia.

I preached two services on “Restoring our Foundations in Genesis”, and Vic preached a shorter version at an evening service for Telugu workers from India. A member of the church had an Answers in Genesis book table in the foyer which sold out completely of Ken’s and other books. Two church members pledged to help us get Creation Science into a university and government schools. A Telugu returning to India plans to help us schedule in Bangalore, where I have previously been invited to a Bible school and Indian pastors who graduated from my alma mater in Tacoma.

Glory to God!

Victor is one of the Filipino pastors at Doane Baptist and is planning to attend the next International Training Seminar hosted by Answers WorldWide next March. Please keep him in your prayer as he applies to get his Visa in the next few weeks.

Ministry in Peru

Dr. Crandall has spent this last week at a Creation Conference in Peru hosted by ITS graduates Creous and Elizabeth Ramdath. He says it has been a very successful conference! He spoke eight times and had the opportunity to give the closing address the last evening of the conference. Over 400 people were in attendance, and all were so eager to hear the Word. Dr. Crandall had an unexpected opportunity to do a 45 minute interview with the largest Christian TV network in all of South and Central America which he is told is seen by millions! God continues to do amazing things around the world. Thanks for your prayer!

Dr. Crandall did a one hour Christian interview show and then was invited back on two other occasions to be interviewed to share his life story and ministry experiences.

Asian Missions Congress

The Asian Missions Congress has gotten off to a great start. Over 250 leaders from that part of the world have assembled for planning and teaching. Dr. Crandall is one of its featured speakers.

Another participant is Creation Speaker Jerry Layton from the Philippines. In the last 3 years he has spoken to over 70,000 people and has seen 15,000 people come to Christ through Creation Evangelism. Glory!

Alumnus of the Year

AiG is thrilled to be able to congratulate our Director of AiG’s WorldWide outreach, Dr. David Crandall, for receiving the honor of being named “Alumnus of the year” by the Baptist Bible College and Seminary—Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. Dr. Crandall wrote to me:

I am very much honored that Baptist Bible College and Seminary alumni have selected me as alumnus of the year. Thousands of alumni vote every year on this selection. On October 10^th I will be honored at a special banquet on campus. All four of my children are flying in for the event—it is the first time in years that all four have been with us at the same time. Only problem—10 grandchildren at the same time.

I praise God that He has chosen to use me in His ministry. I am especially thrilled to be with you and AiG and to see the global impact that is being made.

Final Saipan Blog

Greeting from Saipan, where America’s day begins. During the last two weeks AiG’s days have begun here too!

The Saipan team has completed the medical outreach portion of the trip. Tuesday evening the final patients were seen. We have spent time dealing with infections and allergy problems primarily over the last couple of days. A big issue here is helping the students deal with the change in climate and change in diet. Counseling about preventative health issues has been a theme throughout the clinics.

The nightly seminars will continue through Friday night. We have had a full house every evening for the sessions. The kids from the local community school have been on the front row each night, armed with many, many questions. One child has even started bringing his unsaved mother to the talks. Liz has spent a lot of time witnessing to her.

Each presentation has been translated into Chinese, but this has not thus far seemed to be a problem. The language barrier has been overcome. It seems that my Southern drawl is much easier to translate than Ken’s Australian accent!

The ESL classes continue to go well. Laura has thoroughly enjoyed teaching, and the students continue to eagerly practice their English in the evenings at the seminars. One recent topic in class was the difference between the phrases “Good evening” and “Good night.” One of the students had been going around greeting everyone at church saying, “Good night!” The funny part was that once the students understood the difference and that “Good night” is used as a way to say “Goodbye,” when Laura left class (in the middle of the afternoon), one student jokingly said, “Good night!” With students like that, you can understand why she enjoys teaching the class!

The team will leave for the states very early Saturday morning, travel for about 27 hours, and arrive in Kentucky on Saturday afternoon. Oh, the joys of the international date line. Please pray for travel mercies for a very weary team!

Saturday in Saipan

Saturday brought a welcome rest for our Saipan mission team. The entire day was devoted to sightseeing. There are all sorts of interesting things to visit on Saipan, many relating to events of World War II.

The team first visited Banzai cliff on the northern tip of the island. During WW II many people took their lives by jumping from this cliff onto the rocks below. There are several memorials here remembering this sad event. It is difficult to imagine such a horrible tragedy occurring in such a beautiful place.

Bird Island Sanctuary was also one of the stops during the day. The lookout point here provided one of the most breathtaking sights of the trip.

Since Dr. Mitchell is one of the team members, food was a primary concern. All are happy to report that Dr. Mitchell’s problem was taken care of. After feeding Tommy, some shopping was done along with a short visit to the beach.

The team enjoyed dinner at a Thai restaurant with the teachers who are hosting Laura while our team is here.

Then the team returned to prepare for the seminar session Saturday evening. The team sends its regards to all who helped make this trip possible. A difference is being made in Saipan.

Saipan Highlights—Week 1

The question of the week in Saipan has been, “Did Adam have a bellybutton?” Over a dozen young men have come to Dr. Mitchell eagerly curious about this question. Some Chinese even come in groups and send their best English-speaker to find out. All are genuinely amazed at the answer. They seem genuinely relieved to learn that Jesus did have one.

On Tuesday, Dr. Elizabeth Mitchell explained to the kindergarten classes at the International school how dinosaurs fit into the six day creation week. The boys from the K5 class were eager to show that they could already recite Genesis 1:1. Each child got a “creature card” or a “dinosaur card” to keep.

Medical clinics continue to attract a steady flow of patients throughout the mornings and afternoons. The predominant problems have been minor orthopedic complaints and respiratory infections. We are trying to deal with preventative health issues as much as we can. Clinics will continue until the end of next week.

A personal note from Laura:

Imagine being 23 years old and never hearing about the Bible. Never hearing about God creating the world…never hearing about Jesus and how much He loves you.

I don’t know about you, but that’s really hard for me to understand. The first night our team arrived, I met Ashley (her English name)—a student from China who is studying here at the college. She is 23 years old, and the first time she heard about Jesus was in her classes here. We’ve had the opportunity to hang out this week, and it’s been so cool to talk with her about God. Right now, she’s still just trying to take everything in, but the thing that amazes me the most is her openness of talking about God. She’s not opposed to it at all—I shared my testimony with her, and she was very interested in it. But at the end of our conversation she sweetly said, “You grew up learning about God, but I didn’t. I’ve just started learning about Him, so I need more time.” She also shared that at first she didn’t enjoy coming to the church services, but now something has changed. She’s noticed that the people at church are very happy, and that makes her happy too.

In the States, it seems that most people I’ve interacted with are either not interested in talking about Christianity or already have reasons for not wanting to talk about God. With Ashley, she just hasn’t even heard about Him until recently. Many of the other students here are in the same position—please pray that God would continue to work in their hearts and that they would come to know Him as their Savior.

Saipan blog 2

Clinics by day and teaching by night. That’s the schedule in Saipan this week. The medical clinics have started in space provided by Eucon College. In the first few days we have provided care for various infections and routine orthopedic problems.

Yesterday began the ESL classes! Laura had about 25 students who were all very eager to improve their English skills. Their skill level varies from only knowing basic English greetings to being able to carry on a simple conversation in English. They have such an enthusiasm to learn—we are quite excited to have the opportunity! We will be having classes each day for the two weeks that our team is here. The students are all attending the sessions given by Dr. Mitchell each evening, so they have the added pressure of knowing that their teacher may give them a “pop conversation quiz” at any time!

Each evening a good crowd of Chinese- and English-speaking people gathers at the Christian Bible Church to hear Dr. Tommy Mitchell, with the aid of his translator, speak about the importance of biblical authority in Genesis. He’s already taught about the age of the earth and dating methods. With sessions each night, he’ll be exploring many more topics. Many students at the college have come to him with questions. In addition, a local school teacher brought her class last night and held a special session with Dr. Mitchell; the teacher asked him to explain to the children why Genesis is important. The enthusiastic students plan to return every night.

Saipan Medical Outreach Begins

On Friday morning our first Answers WorldWide Medical Outreach team, Drs. Tommy and Elizabeth Mitchell and Laura Perrien, left Cincinnati for Saipan. The journey from Kentucky to Saipan took almost 27 hours. Here you see a photo of our three gallant travelers before the trip began. The photo of the team after arrival is not shown for humanitarian reasons.

There was a praise point for this outreach effort almost before it began. The flight schedule had the team connecting in Houston, Texas, for the flights to the Pacific. As you are aware, hurricane Ike was bearing down on the Texas coast that very same day. The Houston airport was to be closed around noon that day due to the threat of this severe storm. Fortunately the team’s outbound flight left Houston at 9:30AM, about two hours before the airport shut down. Rerouting the team at that late date would have been extremely difficult. Fortunately, all went well and the team arrived right on time!

On Sunday morning Dr. Mitchell spoke at the English service for the Christian Bible Church. His message was about understanding the nature of God as Creator.

Sunday evening Dr. Mitchell spoke again at the church giving an overview of the messages to come this week. The Chinese interpreter made the message plain for the Chinese-speaking members of the crowd. Following the service, while enjoying a snack supper celebrating the Chinese moon festival, Tommy answered many questions that had burdened his listeners and more questions the message had raised.

There have been many calls about the meetings scheduled at the church. Dr. Wei even got an inquiry from a Korean couple who were visiting the island. They read about the talks in a newspaper ad about the conference.

The medical outreach is scheduled to begin Monday morning. Please pray that the both the physical and spiritual needs of those who come can be met.

Update on the Persecution in India

Thank you for your continued prayer for our brothers and sisters in India who are facing horrible persecution. Dr. Crandall recently received this update from our friend Jyoti who is currently in India:

Brother,

Last night I couldn’t really sleep, today is Lord’s day. Many have lost their beloved ones, their house has been looted and ransacked, villages after villages have been burnt down. Their only crime was they were Christians. Thousands of Christians have nothing left to them except the clothes they are wearring.Only Red Cross has been allowed to enter into some places. I just can’t imagine that I will start and end a day with my Bible, that was the first thing they burned, cross, and the Bibles from Christian homes.

A very close friend of mine professor from Serampore College, his brother and nephew was slaughtered into 15 pieces. This was in the national news this evening, I couldn’t have my dinner properly. Their face comes in my memory.

20 families were forcefully re converted into Hinduism yesterday.

Will you please please pray. I was in contact with few more friends from that area, news are so disturbing. I will write another update soon.

Meanwhile would you mind to generate a movement in USA in your local church at least to send a protest letter to the chief minister of Orissa state, and the Pri Minister of India. And to the President too. Few line emails or fax will do a lot.

Medical Missions in Saipan

Answers WorldWide is sending out its first medical missions team this week! The team will travel to the island of Saipan which is located in the Northern Mariana Islands. Please be in prayer for them. They will be gone from September 12^th to September 27^th. Drs. Tommy and Elizabeth Mitchell, along with WorldWide's assistant Laura Perrien, will represent AiG in Saipan for 16 days of medical and teaching ministry.

The Mitchells will use their medical skills to treat pastors from China, many of whom have never seen a doctor. Clinics have also been organized to meet the medical needs of the local people. The clinics will give the team the opportunity to share the truths of God’s Word. Laura will assist in the clinics, and she will also teach English as a second language both in the Christian school and college. Dr. Mitchell will speak to all of the international students daily at Eucon University and at the church fellowship on several occasions.

Severe Persecution in India Today

One of our close ministry friends, Jyoti Chakravartty, from India just informed Dr. Crandall today of some severe persecution toward Christians that has just begun in India. Apparently, a Hindu leader was murdered and the blame has wrongly fell on Christians there who are now being persecuted and forced to run to the jungle to flee for their lives. Dr. Crandall has been in touch with Jyoti who is safe and has assured him of our prayer.

“Dear friends,

This email comes with a very heavy heart.. I don’t know whether the western medial has shown the recent attack on the Baptist, Catholic and Gospel of Asia churches and World Vision offices. IN case if you want I can send you website URLs of the news from Indian News Papers.

Yesterday I was suppose to leave for Hyderabad along with Pastor Nathan Hazra to attend the Annual General Meeting and Board meetings of India Missions Association (largest Umbrella body of Indian Missions, evangelical church bodies) from August 27-30.2008 and on Sunday August 31.2008 I was invited to preach (message on Biblical Creation) in two large Churches. I was all excited so was Nathan Hazra, as we will be able to meet friends from all over India leading various Christian ministies, many of them I know of more than 20 years since my days with SGM and SIL/Wycliffe. We decided to take a 42 hours train journey basically to shut our phones and sleep on the sleeper coach.

Well I left 5 am in the morning after having 2 hours sleep as I was trying to finish my work. The train was suppose to depart at 7.25 am when I arrived at the station met some old friends including one of my students from Calcutta Bible College, he recognized me and came and introduced himself. Now leading a large church in the North of West Bengal, well we waited and then we heard that the train was rescheduled and will be departing 11 am then after that we heard that again it was rescheduled and will be leaving at 1610 hrs. But later we found that the train was cancelled due to turmoil in Orissa (same state where Australian Missionary Graham Staines were murdered few years ago) and there is a state wise strike in protest of a Hindu leader who was murdered by the Maoist. But the blame came on Christians and scores of Baptist, Catholic and Gospel for Asia and Penticostal churches are burnt down attacked. My friends in World Vision were beaten up and their office was ransacked and many fled in the Jungle to hide.

Even today I was not able to contact my friends over the telephone not even in their mobile. This evening I was able to contact a friend in state capital Bhubaneswar. His voice sounded very scary, he informed me that I was not able to contact others as many of them have fled in jungle and there is no Tower to catch signals. Please pray for this situation. The School Colleges are closed in Orissa till first week of September.

Some places are just cutup, specially Beharampore I was not able to contact any of my friends there. In 2006 we had one of our largest Creation seminar organised by the locals who were so generous. Sadly I was not able to get in touch with them over the phone till now.

“ Dear all,

The following information collected from different fields of riots affected areas of Orissa directly from the victims for your information and sincere prayer.

In Phulbani, the district headquarter of Kondhamal district, more than 25 houses were attacked, all house hold things/ properties burned in front of the houses. RC church and Baptist church were attacked and ransacked in the presence of the police.

In Raikia, 40km from Phulbani, 10 shops belong to Christians burned and looted yesterday while the dead body of late lakhanananda Saraswati was carried towards Phulbani and than cremated in Chakapada where Mr.Swaraswati lived for many years and continued all the activities.

In Tikabali, which is near to Chakapada Mr.Swaraswati, more than 10 houses were set ablaze and one Church completely demolished. Now all Christians with families live in the jungle.

Pastor Sikandar Singh(Missionary Association President, Kalahandi)was attacked by a group of fundamentalists today morning 9am. His house is looted and demolished. Believers from Indian Christian Revival Mission were attacked too.

In Jeerango, a village 32km away from Parlakhemundi and around 90km from Berhampur, one church was blasted and 11 houses were destroyed. Activists were not from the local area.

Twelve families in Rupanagar, 3km away from Chakapada, were attacked, houses were set ablaze one woman was burned alive apart from a nun who burned alive in Baragada ashram. Fundamentalists are basically from neighboring states.

Mr.Prabir Kumar Swain from Jagatsinghpur ADP, a project of WVI, is gharowed by the fundamentalists since morning. They are arguing and forcing the house owner to take Mr.pravir and pastor out of the house. House is famous person in that small town and gracious to these two families. But the fundamental activities waiting out side the house to attack pastor and Mr.Pravir's f amily. Night 2 am one vehicle will come from Bhubaneswar to take them. Though it is very much risky but they do not have any alternative. Please pray for them.

In Baliguda Rev.Gurubandhu Sansad, Ex.UESI staff an UBS graduate is under attack. House owner suddenly asked him to vacate the house as fundamentalist activities would attack him at evening. When I called Rev.Gurubandhu at evening he was not in a situation to talk to me over phone as he was about to be attacked and asked me to pray and put down his phone. We are not able to contact him.

In Divyajoyti a RC pastoral centre in Angamendi village, near Nuagoan and 20km away from baliguda,Father Thomas Challen was bitten mercilessly and stripped, was made to walk necked in Nuagoan and baliguda. A Nun who was in that centre was raped yesterday at about 3 pm. Last time when I went to Kondhamal area for relief I had stayed in this centre and Father Tomas had given me shelter

Around 3 people were killed in the village Piangian 3km away from Rikia. This news has to be confirmed yet. Now at this moment house burning is going on in Rikia by more than 200 fundamental activities. Police is simply following them helplessly. Police is watching the situation being inactive.

Many fundamental activities are entering into Kharihar Road, 150 km from Raipur and around 10km from Nuapada (Orissa), through Nuapada to attack kharihar Mission Hospital. They burned two shops in front of the Christian hospital. Now the hospital is protected by the police. Activities have bitten up the local pastor Isudananda Senapati.

Whole night burning is going on in different parts of Orissa especially in Kondhamal dist.

Please continue to pray for the situation. Please remember that tomorrow you and I may face the same situation.

“The general feed back I got from the participants [after the conference] is excellent. The subject [of creation] is of great interest to many. There is a definite desire in many to know more and more . Our organizers and myself honestly never expected such a response. We were amazed at the turn out of invites during such down pour of rain with floods on roads and many colonies. Even transport was a serious problem those days. In fact, the Chief Minister of the State cancelled several public programs that day. Some leaders gave me wake-up call second day morning to check whether program would exist at all because of down pour all the night. God gave us confidence. God controlled everything.

Ken Ham’s speaking was par excellent with depth & clarity inspiring to all sections. We have to make future plans how AIG would like to go about in India. The ministry has so much potential. A Plea for Help from the Country of Georgia

For the last week we have watched and listened to information about the Russian invasion of the small country of Georgia. We watched TV with a sickening feeling when we heard that thousands of innocent people had been killed. The news reports continued to tell of the thousands of refugees that have fled from their homes away from the fighting.

When we hear a news report from a country such a long way from our homes, it is hard for us to visualize the suffering, the paralyzing fear, the sorrow and the uncertainty that these people are facing right now.

However, the reality of this war and the reality of the refugee camps came today when Diana Crandall, Answers WorldWide Translation Coordinator, received a phone call directly from a refugee camp in Georgia. Diana’s first response was to ask the caller if she was safe; and she responded that, “The bombing has stopped at this time, but the Russians are still here”.

The request from this missionary worker was for permission to translate Ken Ham’s booklet Why is there Death and Suffering? and Dr. Tommy Mitchell’s booklet Why does God’s Creation include Death and Suffering? into the Georgian language for immediate publication and distribution. The missionary worker spoke with such compassion for the Georgian people and stated that these books/booklets were exactly what they needed. Many people in these camps have lost family members and close friends to the Russian invaders.

Diana assured her that we would fast-track this request so that the books and booklets could be available as quickly as possible. Answers WorldWide will attempt to raise the funds for immediate translation and printing. What a great open door to the suffering people of Georgia as AiG once again gets the call to minister in another country of the world.

Please be in prayer that God will provide $10,000 right away to meet this urgent need for translation and printing. Please also be much in prayer for this very special missionary and her fellow missionaries that are ministering to these hurting people in Georgia.

The AiG team made it safely to India! Thanks for your prayer. All of their flights were on time, but they still were up for a total of 39 hours by the time they reached Hyderabad! Dr. Crandall reported that they have had over 500 people register for the Friday night and Saturday conferences, and they have heard that several Bible schools and seminaries are bringing 400 of their students to the conference as well.

We would appreciate your prayer for tomorrow (Thursday) morning about 9:30 our time when Ken and Dr. Crandall will be interviewed by 50-100 people from the Christian press and Indian legislators.

In the Site of Mount Ararat

Sometimes—I must confess—I get my countries mixed up. I find myself going to my world globe—often—to locate a country to orientate myself to their geography and location. Answers WorldWide is now working in so many of the 221 countries that it is hard to keep each country straight in my mind.

An example of this is a recent article from Armenia that tells of eager students receiving training and books from WorldWide. Now…there are 18 countries whose name begins with the letter “A” and I had to stop and think…where is Armenia?

Well, the Republic of Armenia lies in the highlands surrounding a familiar mountain for Bible readers; it is Mount Ararat. This Biblical mountain is where the Bible says the Noahic Ark came to rest after the global flood. Even though the actual mountain is now in Turkey, it can be clearly seen by all Armenians and is on their national emblem.

In fact, Wikipedia says that the name Armenia came from the legendary Patriarch of the Armenians and that he was the great-great grandson of Noah.

It is very exciting for our WorldWide team to hear reports like the one below and realize that all of our work and traveling is really reaping huge results around the world. Please continue to pray and give so that we can ultimately reach a greater portion of the 221 countries of the world.

Here is the photo you requested. I am at the far left, obviously. I taught 20 students at the Theological Seminary of Armenia, located in Ashtarak, about 30 minutes northwest of Yerevan, the capital.

Prior to my arrival the students were given The Answers Book and were requested to read it by my arrival. They were given 50 hours of instruction over a two week period. First, Why Won't They Listen, The Evolutionary Sequence, The Bible Can't Be Trusted, the 7Cs, The Relevance of Genesis and Six Days or Millions of Years were presented. Then the first eleven chapters of Genesis were minutely dissected from the creationist standpoint in 18 PowerPoint presentations. Those were followed by 22 more PowerPoint’s focusing on various areas of science and showing the Scriptural basis for interpreting the science, and the final PowerPoint presented was Hitler, Häckel and the Medical Consequences of Evolutionary Thought, demonstrating the logical outcome of evolutionary thinking as evidenced in 20th and 21st Century world events. Two written exams and a lab practical on fossils and rocks were also given. At the end of the two weeks they were given the nine other titles also provided by AIG and each a creation tie paid for by my church, Black Mountain Baptist.

These students will never forget that experience.

ITS Update

We continue to be thrilled with updates from those who attended our first International Training Seminar this last April. Jan Sichula from Slovakia included this summary of the training in his latest newsletter:

I Took Part in International Training Seminar Organized by Answers in Genesis

You will hardly believe what I have to share in this section but it is all true. Can you imagine that I was in United States in April this year? Let me explain how that could happen in detail. Creationist ministry Answers in Genesis is having a fantastic international vision. Dr. Crandall is heading international side of AiG’s ministry. It was he together with Ken Ham who got the idea to invite a small group of foreign pastors and leaders and give them intensive one week training. This was the very first time they are having such a program. I was so overwhelmed when I had received invitation letter from assistant to Dr. Crandall. They paid for all the costs; the offer was simply irresistible.

During the week I had the chance to listen to and talk with most of AiG famous speakers. There were even plenty of opportunities to spend time in famous Creation Museum and let me share that it is lifetime experience. If you ever got a chance to visit it, do not hesitate for the moment. Some 10 participants were present all together and we are all listed on the Ken Ham’s blog. I departed from Vienna’s airport on Saturday, April 19th and returned on Sunday, April 27th having a very adventurous journey back as my scheduled flight was delayed and they had to rebook me on the different route. As if all those blessings were not enough, American embassy also proved very generous to me. They had awarded me a visa for 10 years with unlimited entrance — I can now travel to States back and forth….

I am still very excited from the stay at AiG and cherish fond memories of the event.

Jan’s progress since the training:

I have had two speaking opportunities since ITS and more are on the way. Let me mention that I have produced an all new Genesis relevance talk and am also revising parts of my presentations based on what I had learned at AiG. ITS is already bringing much fruit here in our ministry. Thank you, thank you. Also the illustrations library is simply superb.

Welsh Revival Impacts Korea

In 1902, a small group of people in the country of Wales got together and prayed earnestly for a revival and for the reclaiming of their culture for Christ.

God answered their prayers and the now famous Welsh revival spread across the nations. Thousands repented of their sin and were saved, and thousands of Christian committed their lives to Christ to take this revival around the world.

Two young men who were impacted by the revival began immediate training to be missionaries. In 1907, these two men and their families arrived in the country of Korea along with the prayers of thousands of Christians throughout the world.

The pagan culture had no understanding of Biblical truths, so the missionaries taught them “the whole council of God” beginning in the book of Genesis, and many accepted the Creator God of Genesis 1:1.

Prayer was once again answered, and quite amazingly the Welsh revival spread to South Korea. Thousands became Christians, and the church in Korea grew rapidly. Today, as a direct result of prayer, the Korean church now numbers 30% of the entire population. South Korea has the largest churches in the world with 50 mega churches that number over 30,000 members each.

As I listened to these stories on my recent trip to Seoul, I was thrilled because of yet another demonstration of answered prayer, and I was personally blessed because my family is Welch.

On July 14^th, Answers WorldWide will welcome to the Creation Museum one of these Korean pastors from a church that numbers 20,000 members. He and some of his pastoral team will meet with us to discuss translation projects and the possibility of building a Creation Museum in South Korea.

Mission success is always dependent on God’s people praying, so I would encourage our readers to pray for this upcoming meeting and the impact of the Gospel as Answers WorldWide floods the world with the wonderful truths of the Bible.

Sixty-nine Thousand Perish

Ken Ham’s book Why Is There Death and Suffering? Addresses an issue that everyone on planet earth can identify with. I have traveled in 90 different countries and I come face to face with pain and suffering in every culture. I am asked the question often, especially when a country has recently encountered a national catastrophe.

I traveled to Asia soon after the tsunami and toured the regions of Thailand where it struck with its most vicious power. I saw ships that had been pushed over one mile inland from their moorings and almost everyone I met had lost someone in the massive wave that was traveling over 500 mph.

It was just weeks later that I traveled to Louisiana and met with hundreds who had lost everything as a result of Hurricane Katrina.

In both instances, the devastation was surreal but the question “Why?” was being asked.

China’s Earthquake

These memories flooded my mind and heart when I heard about the devastating earthquake that hit China. This powerful 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck China’s Si Chuan province just a month ago and the death toll now stands at over 69,000 precious people. Five million homes were destroyed and over 350,000 people were injured.

The saddest news out of China is that over 10,000 children died in this deadly trembler.

Answers in Genesis and Answers Worldwide sends out a continuing request for all Christians to pray for the suffering people in China. Let us pray that Christians in country will have many opportunities to share the Gospel of hope and life with their hurting countrymen.

Answers WorldWide has just received the Chinese translations of Ken Ham’s basic talks and my message from II Kings on “Josiah the Young King” that will be distributed free of charge all over the Chinese world including the Si Chuan province. God’s Word has powerful effects on people’s lives when they listen. Let’s pray that many will find the “peace of God, which passeth all understanding.” Let us pray for triumph in the face of tragedy.

Hot Off the Press!

Just this week we received the exciting news that the Turkish translation of “Why is there Death and Suffering?” has been printed. Our translator who worked on this project sent this update:

The shipment of newly printed copies of the Turkish edition of "Why is there Death & Suffering?" arrived at our home just an hour before my wife was leaving to visit a Muslim-background Christian widow friend of hers. I gave my wife a handful of the books to take to her friend. It turned out that when she arrived at her friend's house, her friend was visiting with another widow lady, a Muslim, and sharing her testimony. In the course of conversation, my wife took out the new booklets to show her friend. Immediately, her Muslim friend wanted to read "Why is there Death & Suffering?" and couldn't put it down. While the Christian widow was busy serving tea, my wife said to her, "These booklets are hot off the press. We just got them today. You are the first to read it." Her Muslim widow friend, who had already started reading while her friend was busy getting tea ready replied, "No, I am the first to read it!" "Yes, YOU are the first to read it," my wife agreed. May many come to find hope and eternal life and deliverance from sin and death in this land full of biblical history where today there is only one Turkish Christian for every 24,000 Muslims. Many people wonder if there is a God of love who really cares about them. The good news is there is!

One might wonder, "But why is creationism needed in a 99% Muslim country like Turkey? Don't they already believe in creation? They just need Jesus!" It is true that Islam teaches that Allah created the world, but it also teaches that the Bible has been corrupted and so its history and doctrines are not reliable. Besides this, Turkish schools, universities, encyclopedias, and nature shows on television promote standard evolutionary views of earth history, which contradict the Bible's account of history. So Turkey's two main competing worldviews, Islam and evolutionary naturalism, both cause millions of people to doubt the truth of the Bible, and thus to not even consider its teachings about the Lord Jesus Christ.

Celebrations in the Republic of South Korea

While the AiG Museum and the AiG Ministry has enjoyed the one year anniversary, I have been ministering in South Korea. I have followed the daily celebrations and my wife, Diana, and I would have enjoyed being part of the special celebration.

However, the AiG Missionary arm was enjoying a Korean-Style celebration of our own. I joined the Korean Association of Creation Research for their annual meeting in Daegu, South Korea. This sister organization, with a membership of over 1,000, was celebrating another successful year of ministry which included nearly 1,000 Creation events. I was the guest lecturer for the conference and praised the Lord for the American Creation Museum. The Conference will be sending greetings and congratulations to AiG. These meetings were held on the campus of Keimyung University, which was founded 50 years ago by a Christian missionary from the USA. The campus now hosts over 25,000 students.

I showed a PowerPoint picture presentation of our museum, and after it was received with much discussion and excitement. The reason for all the intense interest is the already underway plans to build a Creation Museum in Korea.

I then had the unique privilege of preaching at the large Adam Cathedral on the campus. The Cathedral enjoys the great music from its 3,200 pipe-giant pipe organ. In fact, on Saturday the organist presented a private recital for me and some of the conference delegates. Hundreds of university professors, their families, and students gathered to hear me preach. The pastor translated as he spoke and the congregation gave a warming ovation at the end.

After a trip to Seoul, South Korea, on the speed train that travels at 230 MPH, the meetings with the KACR began at their headquarters and mini-museum. In these meeting we agreed to translate most of our AiG books and DVDs into Korean. The books will be printed in Korea and distributed through nation wide book stores and the KACR meetings. With a 30% Christian population in South Korea, the possibilities for maximum impact and exposure will be phenomenal. This agreement places AiG right in the middle of the largest growing Christian community in the world per capita.

Together the two organizations will be able to reach not only Korea but also all of Asia as KACR has a real missionary heart as well.

I was invited to a very special dinner-meeting with Pastor Kim Jong Joon, the pastor of a dynamic Church of over 20,000 members. We talked about biblical authority, creation evangelism, the Creation Museum ,and the Koreans’ planned museum. I was then invited by Rev. Joon to return to Korea as soon as possible and preach at his church. This would involve preaching at five morning worship services. I quickly accepted the invite because it will be a blessing to preach to that many people and formally introduce AiG to a very large group of people.

Further, the pastor has accepted my invitation and will travel to the USA in July to meet with Ken Ham and me and to see the museum. They are anxious to learn from AiG so that their museum can a great testimony in Korea as ours is in the USA.

Yes, I was sad that I missed the Kentucky celebration, but I am celebrating in Korea over all of our new friends who are as passionate about creation and biblical authority as we are.

Last year in the month of October, we received a special invitation to attend the first international training by AIG (Answers in Genesis). They choose ten (10) people from different countries around the world, and they paid all the expenses. We felt very privileged to be part of this first International Training Creation Seminar. There were people from Albania, Slovakia, Hong Kong, Saipan, Israel and us from Peru represented.

When we left Peru to attend the training, we were very excited to meet the other people from the different countries. We were the first to arrive in Cincinnati and we met the international director of AIG Worldwide Ministries Dr. David Crandall and the rest of his team.

When we started our training on Monday, we were doing it in the ‘Creation Museum’. In our first session, we got to meet the founder and CEO of AIG Mr. Ken Ham from Australia. We had many sessions sitting and listening to different speakers give us different presentations and it was very, very interesting. Each day we had between 5 - 6 sessions and it was very intensive. The message that stood out to us was the ‘Importance of the Authority of the word of God’ in our churches, schools, and in the entire world today.
Also, we had the opportunity in different sessions to meet key people of the AIG staff who were working in advertising, sales, promoting conferences, etc, and later we were able to get to know some of them personally.

On different days in our training, we were the special guests to go through the creation museum, see the seven (7) Cs of history through the bible in the museum, sit and see the stars in the Creation Planetarium on three (3) occasions, go through the creation book store which we were excited for us, plus more.

On the last two (2) days of our training, we all had to prepare a short presentation and speak for twenty (20) minutes; then we will get feedback from two of the AIG speakers on how it was and what we needed to improve in. Although our week was full and intensive with lots of information and new ideas, we were all very, happy and privileged to be part of this life experience.

We thank the Lord for allowing us to be chosen and to be part of the first group at the AIG international training. The Lord is doing great things in the world today with the creation ministry and we saw that with this training AIG had with all of us. They are now extending out to the world by training different people in different countries and they are forming an international networking ministry. We thank the Lord allowing us to go and get this training so it will help us in Peru with the creation ministry.

I will be traveling to Peru later this year to witness first hand this great Creation Peruvian Adventure.

WORLD WISE: Reflections on Burma

The plane landed in Rangoon, Myanmar (Burma) and I was met at the airport by a security detail. This detail was commissioned by the Christians to aid me in entering this communist country. The Christians in Burma could not risk meeting me in such a public place. The thoughts of my arrival and all the details of my trip came flooding back into my mind as I watched the grim reports of a killer cyclone. The press is now saying that over 22,000 people have been killed.

The Christians who were hosting me had climbed to their eighth story place of worship and had prayed continuously until word of my safe arrival and entry into the country was confirmed. I have been praying for all those pastors and their people who gathered that day to greet me in their secret worship place. I wonder out loud if they survived the horrific storm that took so many lives. I pray earnestly that this tragedy will open doors of ministry for these hurting people. I would like to ask all who read this blog to pray for Burma in their great hour of unbelievable death and destruction.

When I arrived on the eighth floor to minister to these people and to dedicate our first Burmese translation, I was overwhelmed and overjoyed at the faith and courage of these Christians. I was told that there are over 650 churches all across the country and that in a recent meeting over 20,000 believers gathered in open fields to worship and study God’s Word for three days. Live animals were brought and slaughtered daily for food to feed this large gathering. God is indeed building His church in Burma in spite of all the persecution and oppression by the communist government.

Every Christian must be “World Wise” as we are commanded to pray for one another and care for fellow-suffering Christians. Let’s lift our hearts to “Burma with love.”

Urgent prayer request

Dr. Crandall issued a call to pray for fellow Christians in the Country of Myanmar (Burma). A horrible Cyclone has ripped through the Country and up to 10,000 people have been killed. Dr. Crandall has been to Myanmar and has contacts with many Christians including over 600 Churches.

Let’s be in prayer for this hurting Country and that the Christians will have many opportunities to share the “peace of God that passes all understanding”.

Finishing the Course

Today I made a list of 21 things that I needed to do and at the end of the day there will be great satisfaction in knowing that I have completed them all.

Such satisfaction was recorded at the final banquet for our International Training Seminar. Ten internationals received Certificates of Completion for the first “Answers WorldWide International Training Seminar in Creation Apologetics.”

Each attendee showed delight that they had finished the ITS intense one week course. The smiles and expressed thank-you’s made our entire Answers WorldWide team extremely happy. One of the attendees commented: “The stay at AiG was fantastic, nothing less than what we call a lifetime experience.”

Each trainee traveled thousands of miles and invested seven days of their lives to learn to be more effective in the making of creation talks in their country and language. They have each now returned to their homelands of Albania, Israel, Hong Kong, Peru, Saipan, and Slovakia safely.

Answers WorldWide has provided each of them with a $500 library that they will use in their current and future ministries, and we will be initiating a follow-up program to track their ministries and assist in any way possible.

Diana, Laura, and I are a bit exhausted by the 24 hours per day that we spent preparing and working with these very special international friends. However, we are extremely pleased with the wonderful results. We were encouraged by a letter from Dr. Harry Ambacher, International Professor of Theological Education and Missiology—he and his wife, Pat, joined us for the ITS banquet. He wrote, “Ken and you are to be commended for your insight in bringing the various nations here for the course. That will certainly pay off in the years to come, until the Lord returns.” We trust this to be true!

Please pray for these internationals as they begin a new phase of their ministries.

International History

AiG broke another historical marker this week as ten internationals from six different countries came to our Museum/office complex for an intense week of training. We are operating under the slogan “Training Creation Speakers for the World.”

These internationals from Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East have traveled a total of 108,747.28 miles round trip to be involved in this training. As Dr. Crandall welcomed each of them on Monday morning, he shared with them that these meetings were the fulfillment of a two year dream for Answers WorldWide. Today, Monday, Ken Ham met with them all morning going over the basic relevance talk and then how to develop their own talks.

Like all of our guests coming to the Museum, they were all absolutely “thrilled and chilled” by what they saw, heard, read and experienced. As a special surprise for each visitor, Walt Stumper (AiG Librarian) printed out newspapers for each country represented.

We thank God that many people have given to make this wonderful training seminar take place. Please continue to pray for all of our trainees.

To the Chinese with Love

The anticipation level at Answers WorldWide is at a near fever pitch as our production department has alerted us that our new Chinese editions are nearly done. Any day now the translations of Ken Ham’s Creation Mini Series of relevance speeches arrive and then will be sent all over the Chinese speaking world.

Our AiG team traveled to Saipan late last year to record these historic Chinese DVDs. Once we receive these DVDs, they will be shipped all over the world so that the Chinese speaker can have the same advantage to hear the teaching of Ken Ham just as English speakers have had for years. Join us in prayer that these new linguistic tools will impact churches, pastors, missionaries and laymen all across the globe.

Impacting Planet Earth

At Answers in Genesis we talk a lot about the book of Genesis and the creation facts. However, one must not miss the absolute focus of AiG on Biblical authority. As one travels through the museum you will sense this heart beat—“Biblical authority, Biblical authority.”

Answers WorldWide is a great example of the AiG total commitment to the authority of the Word of God. The New Testament verses that challenge us to take the Gospel to the world are a long ways from Genesis. But they are part of the whole—therefore AiG is committed to worldwide evangelism and discipleship.

For me that commitment became a reality when Ken Ham and Carl Kerby encouraged me to come to AiG even when they were struggling to fund the museum project. What they did not need financially was yet another salary at that time. However, the commitment to God’s Word surpassed all financial concerns as God provided the opportunity to take AiG global.

The global-ride we have been on now for over two years can only be described as “a God thing.” Creation-movements are starting all over the world as missionaries, national pastors, and the international-Christian comprehends the importance of creationism in light of the spurious and sarcastic attacks of evolution on our Christian faith. How thankful we are that we can provide answers to the international community. We are convinced that AiG and Answers WorldWide, like Esther, have come into the world for such a time as this.

Reaching the 10/40

I will be speaking and representing Answers WorldWide in Malaysia at the triennial meeting of the Asian Pacific Mission Congress in October 2008. This conference will have a focus on what is called the 10/40 window. This is the most unreached region of the world and includes 56 countries which includes 2/3 of the world’s peoples. Answers WorldWide is focused intently on the 3.9 billion people that live in this region. We want to take the good news of the Gospel to them.

It is my belief that the church has failed in the past to be pro-active in missions in this area that consists of Buddhists, Hindus, and Muslims. We are thus attempting to assist missionaries and national ministries in the 10/40 window.

Our translation teams are now translating AiG books and DVDs into several of the area’s languages and I have personally traveled to several of these 56 countries to promote Creation Evangelism and AiG. This conference in Malaysia is just one more event that expresses our desire and heart to reach the vast 10/40 window.

Please pray for this conference and our ongoing ministry throughout Asia.

Taking Answers to the Spanish-speaking world

One of my greatest joys is traveling around the world and seeing God at work. In the Bible God declares, “I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” And He is indeed keeping His word.

Answers WorldWide has the joy and privilege of coming alongside these global-churches and helping them in their preaching, reaching and teaching ministries.

The Spanish world is delighted that they can now listen to Ken Ham in their own mother tongue. The Spanish videos are being used effectively in all Spanish-speaking countries including the communist country of Cuba. What a joy to know that Christians in Cuba can be inspired and blessed by the presentation of Ken Ham.

Recently we received this email from a Christian in Argentina who wrote about the Spanish DVDs:

“Absolutely…incredible. Totally…believable. How did they get a translator who’s voice fits the face of Ken? The Spanish DVD series is great. Thank you.”
