God’s judgment of the Tower of Babel was one of the greatest catastrophes in the history of the world. In one moment, a massive, highly complex building project involving the entire human race, came to an end. Thousands of workers suddenly found themselves incapable of communicating with anyone outside their extended family group. Overwhelmed by fear and frustration, each family group moved away from the others. That is how Dr. John Whitcomb described the event.
As you enter this exhibit you are met with the sites and sounds of just what happened. On the left there is a display of a family group living in a cave.
On the right there is a pool with two beautiful waterfalls, framed by two winged bulls, and a video about the Tower of Babel describing what happened. This area is designed in the Babylonian style architecture.
Numerous displays line the walls and show God’s hand in all that occurred.
Ahead there will be a wall with a gate and two very large doors. There will be a smaller door that allows guests to walk through, as you’d find in a walled city. On this Babylonian side, the door is gaudy, gold, and glamorous looking. Come and visit this exhibit to find out what is just beyond these doors – the greatest gift of all.
