On Saturday, April 4, we were privileged to host the wedding ceremony of Melissa and Daniel from Bowling Green, Ky.

When Melissa and Daniel visited the museum she envisioned her special day taking place on the Museum grounds. She contacted us and inquired about the possibility of renting the Gazebo for her wedding. It so happens we had been talking about weddings and receptions being held on site. Melissa helped us to speed up the plans. She said she wanted her family and friends to be able to experience the beauty and the message of the museum.

We offered Melissa a discount for any guests to tour the museum and several were able to arrive early and enjoy the discount. Meanwhile, her family was busy decorating the Gazebo and her bridesmaids were busy readying Melissa for her special day.

Once the guests were seated and the groom and groomsmen were in place, Melissa arrived at the Gazebo by horse and carriage, looking like a Cinderella bride! The ceremony was beautiful; God provided perfect weather for the one day it was needed. Since then we have had a frost warning! After the ceremony the guests were escorted back to the vehicles in the carriage and everyone departed for a reception off site.
