AiG sculptors have been working on a new dragon that will soon “invade” the Dragon Hall bookstore inside our Creation Museum.

I have included three photographs of the Dragon and sculptor Jessie Pie as he works on what we believe will become a centerpiece of the bookstore. As we often say at the Creation Museum, things continue to “evolve”!

THE MUSEUM STAFF — SHOWING “INCREDIBLE HOSPITALITY”

Last weekend we were honored by a visit from our publicist, Larry Ross, of Dallas, Texas, as well as his father Arthur from the Chicago area (a retired professor of New Testament at Wheaton College). Larry’s organization has been instrumental in getting us a lot of national publicity for the Creation Museum. For example, just before the museum opened about 13 months ago, ABC-TV’s Good Morning America did a live broadcast remote inside the museum, plus we were on FOX-TV’s The O’Reilly Factor, CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, etc. Larry and his staff know the producers of many of these programs and they were able to get us booked.

Later that day, Larry wrote to us:

THANK YOU for your generosity in hosting my father and me and the incredible hospitality provided by your outstanding team.

First, I love what you’ve done to the place since my last visit - the outdoors grounds are superb, and the finish-out on original and new exhibits (like the Dino Den) are impressive.

Most important, every staff person with whom we came in contact — from front security to the ice cream gal as we left — were friendly, courteous, gracious and pro-active as professional representatives of the ministry and personal reflection of Christ.

My father, who is a career Bible scholar, was stunned by the presentation - especially the way in which you so consistently presented a biblical worldview and brought everything back to a Gospel witness.

BTW, I was encouraged that in my walk back to get the car … I counted 15 different states represented by the first two dozen cars on either side of the parking aisle — amazing confirmation that the Museum remains a national destination.

Every blessing to you and your team as you faithfully proclaim His Word and the answers to life and living found therein.

Here are photos of the two Ross’s during their visit, taken at our Foto FX booth.

ANSWERS—ON A PUBLIC BUS

A supporter wrote this week:

Hi–Just wanted to share with you my recent experience reading the latest issue of Answers Magazine] on the public bus coming home from work. A gentleman observed me reading the magazine and inquired whether that publication had anything to do with “intelligent design”. I replied that yes, it does. I gave him the cover sheet that came with the magazine and pointed him to the website for more information. As I turned the page I uncovered the Kids Answers, and I asked the gentleman about his family. He has four children with the youngest being age 6. I asked him if he would like to have the Kids Answers for his six year old, and he very happily received it.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying

It’s the 4th of July—and it is a wet day in the Greater Cincinnati area as storms and showers pass through! As a relatively new American citizen (all our immediate family are now dual citizens—both Australians and Americans), I was wondering what I should say on this special holiday in the USA. Then I received an email from one of our staff with a poem that says it all– written by one of the young men working in Food Services (our various CafĂ©s) at the Creation Museum for the summer. I trust you enjoy this:

Town Square
by Zach Smith

I stand inside town square,
Watching the people stare.
Eyes transfixed, thoughts unknown
As Old Glory flies alone.
To them, she waves her hair,
Thirteen strands–’O so fair.
Her freckles shine like stars,
Scattered across her scars.
Her face is stained with tears,
From wars throughout the years.
Wrinkles rest on her brow.
Now straining, she looks down.
Weary from past troubles;
Freedom is her struggle.
Exhausted, her hair falls
And rests upon the walls.
It is mingled with blood
From her brothers that could,
And did give their own lives
So Old Glory could fly,
In America, where,
People stand in town square

IF YOU DON’T DO THIS YOU ARE A ‘LIAR’

I received an interesting letter this week. I have enclosed a scan of this. The first part of the letter states:

Please hang these posters up on the wall of the “Museum” to show people both sides. If you don’t you are hiding info from the people there—which would make you a liar—which is a sin.

letter.JPG

The person who wrote this (seems to be a young person by looking at the writing and how it was presented) then included a number of pages of supposed transitional forms and other evidence for evolution. I have included a scan of one of the pages.

I sent a short letter to this person with a copy of AiG’s Evolution Exposed,—I pray this book is read and understood so that this person will not continue to be led astray by the false teachings of molecules-to-man evolution.

SOMETHING THIS BIG CANNOT BE IGNORED

15,000 delegates came from public school districts all over the country to America’s capital city to conference at the annual NEA (National Education Association) meetings in Washington, D.C. This is the biggest such educators conference in the world—teachers, administrators and others from the public schools across America gathered for this time.

For more than ten years, AiG has been able to participate in a booth at this conference (something we praise the Lord for). This year, AiG staff once again organized this outreach to reach the public educators with the truth of God’s Word (many thanks to Tony Ramsek from the IT department).

AiG also had a delegation of workers and volunteers that came to the NEA convention with the message of hope through the authoritative Word of God. Working under a gigantic banner about the museum with a dinosaur on it that read “SOMETHING THIS BIG CANNOT BE IGNORED,” the team passed out literature and DVDs to hundreds and hundreds of teachers. Some received the materials with delight, others with skepticism and others with outright disgust. The response reminded us of the same reaction the Apostle Paul received after he preached at Mar’s Hill in Acts 17.

AiG arrived in Washington with a trailer filled with books, pamphlets, DVDs and brochures and as the conference came to a close, everything was gone. As one of the volunteers said, “We were wiped out.” Only eternity will reveal the results of this bold and fruitful ministry as evolution is exposed and deemphasized.

We would now ask that Christian across the USA pray for the teachers and education leaders that have taken this material home with them. Pray that God will open their hearts and minds to the truths of the Word of God. The seed has been sown in Washington; let’s pray that it will bring forth fruit in classrooms across America.

The entire AiG group would testify that this ministry in Washington was well worth the time and effort and that we leave Washington greatly encouraged and blessed.

We are thankful for the NEA Creation Science Educators Caucus that has given us this venue for ministry. Please visit the NEA 2008 Outreach blog for more information and prayer requests.

I have included a photograph of AiG worldwide Director Dr. David Crandall standing at the booth at the NEA convention.

My people shall know my name

(Isa 52:6-7) Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

There is one name that the Jews never consider as possibly the name of God & it is the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, ours is to bring this good news to them.

We are now receiving more and more great feedback from those churches who used AiG’s first-ever VBS program, “Amazon Expedition.” We will be putting a selection of this feedback on our website in the very near future. Here are just two emails received recently:

1. We just finished Amazon Expedition for our VBS 2008. While space doesn’t allow me for all comments, overall it was one of the best VBS programs we have ever done. By far, the material was more relevant and applicable to the students than other VBS programs. We had 4 salvation decisions (Praise the Lord!) in our 5th and 6th grade classes. I just wanted to comment that while you are developing the 2009 VBS, please keep the material different from other VBS programs.

I can’t wait to hear more about VBS 2009. Thanks!

Yes, we will be making the material for all our VBS programs very different from most other such programs available. They will have an emphasis on apologetics, biblical authority, the gospel, and relevancy to where children are at in today’s world. The VBS program for  2009 is well underway and is themed about space. Look for coming promotions of this unique VBS from AiG.

2.  Last week at [our church in ] Michigan it was a jungle!! The children really enjoyed the decorations advised in the material you sent for our VBS! It was all so easy to follow and SOOO much information! The children wanted us to continue for another day! We really liked the way you included crafts, games, and snacks to reinforce the lesson for the day. Giving us amounts of food to buy for the snacks was a blessing! We can’t wait to see what you have for us next year! We are so pleased with your program . . . . But thank you for “One of the greatest VBS weeks we have ever had.” A quote from [our] Pastor.

CELL PHONE SAGA

My colleagues and others often “rib” me about the amount of usage I make of my cell phone. They claim I am addicted! However, I want you to know that there is someone who outdoes me with cell phone usage—look at the photograph taken in Wyoming recently.

My wife, Mally, spends more time on her cell phone talking to our kids on a daily basis!

LATEST COUNTRY

The latest country we received an email from is the Bahamas. This brings us to 106 countries from which AiG has received communications.

TECHNOLOGY DONATED

Recently we found out that two totally different but powerful advanced pieces of technological equipment are being donated to AiG and the Creation Museum. Once these are installed, I will tell you more about them—but this will help us take the museum experience and certain presentations at the museum to an even higher level than it is now. Praise the Lord for those He has raised up to do this.

DEVOTION

Plainly

(Deut 27:8-9)  And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.  And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.

God instructs us as His people to love the Word of God and want it to be read and plainly understood by posting it to make it readily available for all to read.

Along with Carl Kerby and me, our guest speakers will be Dr. Voddie Baucham and Doug Phillips. Also in the lineup is our very own Buddy Davis with several performances. Buddy’s work ranges from fun songs that will have the whole family singing along to his renditions of classic hymns that have inspired thousands over the years. He is also holding his very popular children’s workshops (for ages 7–10). In this two-and-a-half hour workshop, your child will draw and sculpt dinosaurs while learning biblical history and how to answer questions about the Bible. There is limited space available for these workshops, so be sure to register for them right away! Go to www.aigbranson08.com to register or give us a call at 1-877-244-3370 for more information.

Registrations are welcome at the door on the day of the conference, but I urge you to register early to avoid the wait.

BRING A GROUP TO BRANSON!

There is still time to get your church or small group registered for the conference in Branson in two weeks. Register now in order to take advantage of a great savings opportunity with our group rates. If you have 10 or more individuals in your group, the rate is just $79 per person! MILLIONS OF YEARS—IT’S EVERYWHERE!

The secular world gets so emotional over the age of the earth issue. Have you ever wondered why this is so? In fact, when I am interviewed by the secular media, they usually ask me many more questions about the age of the earth issue than Darwinian evolution.

One of the things the secular media often do is start off an interview asking me why I don’t believe in millions of years. You see, “millions of years” is an incomprehensible amount of time. And to even attempt to postulate Darwinian evolution (one kind changing into a totally different kind of creature over millions of years), one has to have an incomprehensible amount of time, so that, given enough time, anything can be claimed. Without the supposed “millions of years,” evolutionists could not even suggest the possibility of molecules-to-man evolution.

As I travel around, I see “millions of years” presented as fact over and over again. Recently I was at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum in Washington, D.C. “Millions of years” was presented as fact over and over and over again. Even when one goes to places like Yellowstone, although I could not find the word evolution on any of the signs, “millions of years” was presented as fact over and over again.

Here are just two photographs I took recently:

100-2082_img.JPG

1.        This one was taken in the Smithsonian.

100-2258_img.JPG

2.        This one was taken at Yellowstone National Park last week.

Every time I visit such places, I am burdened to see more people visit the Creation Museum and provide more displays that dispel the false claims of millions of years

AUSTRALIAN VISITORS AT THE CREATION MUSEUM

I am continually amazed by the number of visitors to the Creation Museum from overseas—but even more amazed and thrilled at how many visitors come from my homeland of Australia. Yesterday I was thrilled to meet up with a lady I had not seen for many years. She and her husband were highly involved in the Creation Ministry with me in Australia. Also, we have a young lady who is from a country town in the state of Queensland who is volunteering at the museum for three months!

On Friday, I have been informed that another family from Australia is arriving to spend a couple of days at the museum and do some sightseeing—they are also from a country town in Queensland. There is no doubt-the word is getting out about the museum.

DEVOTION

And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.

We take grass for granted, but, in Ethiopia it can be seen that no grass means no fat goats, no fed people. Grass sustains cattle and is a direct gift from God.

AiG speaker, writer, and researcher Dr. Georgia Purdom sent me this note:

My dad’s church (Word of Promise Family Church in Lancaster, Ohio) visited the museum at the beginning of May. Noah, a 4 year old boy, came with his parents and was very impressed with the museum. He cried when it was time to leave and told his mom that visiting the museum was “my favoritest day in my whole life.” His mom recently shared with me that when the Creation Museum commercial comes on TV, he makes everyone be quiet until it’s over with! They plan to return to the museum soon.

LAKESIDE GRILL OPEN

I have included some photographs taken as the Lakeside Grill (at the bottom of the stairs near the deck over the lake) that opened recently. It even offers an “Aussie burger,” which includes 1/3lb sirloin, onions, beet root, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, and pineapple (and they may add the fried egg!).

DEVOTION

How did . . .

(Deut 12:30)  Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

Curiosity into how other religions serve false gods is dangerous.

Early this May, Heidi Buck sent Answers in Genesis an email to both thank the ministry for its impact on their family and to send us a very special request. Joshua, her son, had sustained burns at age five and was now in need of corrective surgery (at age 11). Heidi (mom) and he made plans to travel from their home in Florida to Cincinnati’s Shriners Burn Hospital for some corrective burn surgery at the beginning of June.

In her email, Heidi expressed how much Joshua loves science and dinosaurs and wanted to know if the museum would be able to provide a visit for him before going back home. Everything was in place for a visit; however, due to certain circumstances they were unable to visit during their time in Cincinnati. So, we figured if we couldn’t bring Joshua to the Creation Museum, maybe we could do the next best thing: bringing the museum to Joshua. The Creation Museum put together an exciting gift bag, including the Creation Museum DVD set and Photographic Walkthrough, as well as some great children’s science activities. The gifts were then hand-delivered to the hospital by Flynn H., one of our own Guest Services staff, the day of the Bucks’ departure back home.

Flynn told us:

Joshua was very excited to see all the biblical and creation resources. Even though they couldn’t visit the museum, I’m glad we could bring a little of the museum and God’s truth and love to them as an encouragement to Joshua after going through such a big surgery. As I spoke to Joshua, it really helped me remember how much this next generation needs the truth of God’s Word from the very first verse and how much this world wants to keep the truth from them. It’s my prayer that this opportunity to encourage the Buck family will bear much fruit in the days ahead.

I praise the Lord for dedicated staff who will do what all they can to ensure someone doesn’t miss out on the vital message of AiG.

NEED OF AN AUDITORIUM

Recently, we sent out a letter explaining that we had a matching gift opportunity to enable us to build around a 700 seat auditorium at the Creation Museum so our speakers can give more presentations to reach more people with the messages the Lord has raised AiG up to give around the world. One of our supporters wrote:

Greetings, I praise the Lord when we received the great number of good news and reports on the museum. It is our prayers that the number of attendees will continue to rise.

Thank you for your recent newsletter in which you informed us of the critical need of an auditorium inside the Creation Museum and expressed the need of raising $500,000 for this project. Our family DOES recognize the good work that AIG has been carrying out in advancing the Kingdom of God throughout the U.S. and beyond; therefore, we are very much in support in all that you do. By God’s grace, we had met our pledge for the museum two years earlier than we anticipated, and HE had blessed us even more and enabled us to give extra prior to the Grand Opening of the Museum.

We are often reminded of Malachi 3:10 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.” One can NEVER out give our Lord God. Of course, truly in our heart it is not because we want more of His blessings that we support ministries like AIG. I would like to let you know that we will support the funding of this Auditorium Project. We are just waiting for that promised tax “Rebate” from the U.S. government. I intended to invest them all in the Kingdom of God.

Here, I would like to encourage all the AIG supporters consider doing the same, particularly those who wanted to but financially had not been able to contribute; here is a great opportunity for them to join the team! (Further, it is tax deductible; it is a double-edged sword) I am checking the mailbox daily for these “rebates,” but it has not come yet

.

Many blessings to all of you at AIG who work so diligently for the Lord, may HE bless you and always be with all that you do. You and your ministry are often lifted up in our prayers.”

If you are interested in finding out more about this matching gift opportunity, then you can go to the relevant section on AiG’s website.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying.

Today is Sunday. Millions all across America (and the around the world) are worshiping in churches. But this is not the same world generations of the past lived in. This is a world in which we see increasing violence, terrorism—all sorts of horrible crimes. We’ve seen shootings at Universities, Post Offices . . . and Churches. More and more Christian leaders are becoming acutely aware of the need to be security conscious for the protection of their congregations, staff, etc. This is a great responsibility and many are inexperienced in security issues—and don’t know what they should do.

Because AiG has a professional security operation, headed by an extremely qualified and experienced security officer, we believed it important to provide a unique but very necessary tool for faith-based organizations in today’s world.

AiG’s head of security, Jeff Hawkins, has written a book entitled Security and Emergency Planning for Faith-Based Organizations that has been published by AiG and is now available through AiG’s website.

What we have found is that many Christian churches, ministries and mission groups do not have plans in place to protect themselves or respond in the event of an emergency. Most of the time these programs are not developed because they just don’t know where to start; this guidebook helps Christian organizations take the first steps in assessing risk for their organization, understanding liabilities and what plans and programs they need to put in place to protect those who come to their place of worship or go out to minister on their behalf.

The material outlined in this guidebook applies to all faith-based organizations, from small churches to mega-churches to Christian schools to mission groups; the same principles of risk management apply in some aspect to all.

As one Senior Pastor told us “It is not only our legal obligation to protect those who [come] to worship with us, it is our moral and spiritual obligation as Christian leaders to have these measures in place to protect them.”

Another church leader from the Midwest wrote “I appreciate AiG’s production of this and would recommend to all church leadership, from the smallest country church to the largest megachurch.”

Many organizations have already purchased multiple copies to give to each member of their leadership, so they are all literally operating from the same page!

When Mally and I homeschooled, we made sure we were members of the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA)—and of course we see it vital that our own married children who are homeschooling also are members of HSLDA. Their website states: “Home School Legal Defense Association is a nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms. Through annual memberships, HSLDA is tens of thousands of families united in service together, providing a strong voice when and where needed.” You can find out a lot more information about HSLDA from their website: http://www.hslda.org/ .

We were thrilled to host Staff Counsel with the Home School Legal Defense Association, Michael Donnelly, together with his family, as they visited the Creation Museum on Thursday. During our staff devotion time, we had the privilege of being addressed by Mike. He gave a brief devotion and a presentation about homeschooling and the mission of HSLDA. He was well received by our staff. In fact, several of our staff who homeschool were encouraged to become members of HSLDA due to his presentation!

Mike and his family have a great enthusiasm for the ministry of Answers in Genesis and were excited to be visiting the Creation Museum for the second time! Mike and his wife said their favorite part of the museum is the planetarium, but their children all said that they enjoyed meeting Buddy Davis the most!

Michael asked us to pray for a California case that is pending and has no legal standing but needs our prayers (you can find out about this case from the front page of the HSLDA website). He came with his wife and 6 children: 4 boys and 2 girls. They toured the museum with Dr. Tommy Mitchell (AiG speaker) as their host, and were very excited about their day here. I have included three photographs:

Please pray for HSLDA. And if you are a homeschooler, I would urge you to make sure you are a member of this excellent organization raised up to defend your rights biblically and legally. Support HSLDA with your prayers.

A GORGEOUS MAGAZINE

An ecstatic new ANSWERS subscriber writes:

This morning, I received my first issue of Answers Magazine. Thank you very much for this paid gift subscription. Since I have not read it yet, I cannot give a feedback on the content (though I am sure I will be blessed by it). For now I can only give feedback on its physical form. I never thought that it was such a gorgeous magazine!

Eight years ago, I was in a university. There, I had access to some brilliant magazines like Time, Newsweek, Asia week, Life, and others. I remember National Geographic’s boasting that no one ever throws away their issues. But as I browse through this particular issue of Answers magazine, I see that I cannot trade it for a dozen issues of National Geographic.

My heart overflows with gratitude! May God bless you more and more!

The latest issue is phenomenal. I didn’t see how they could improve on the last one, but they did. The theme is “The Wonders of Creation.” Fantastic photographs, unique powerful teaching–if you haven’t subscribed yet, then join nearly 70,000 others by subscribing through AiG’s website.

ON A PAR WITH THE SMITHSONIAN

Here is some great feedback that wouldn’t make the people who run the Smithsonian museums in Washington, DC, (with our tax dollars) very happy:

We have a VBS team using your material here in the village this week. The kids are really enjoying it. My family was able to tour the museum last year within the first month of its opening. It was really impressive and I feel, on par with anything the Smithsonian has to offer. We now work in a remote Eskimo village in the bush of NW Alaska so will not likely have opportunity to see the museum again for quite some time.

SPEAKING IN JACKSON, WYOMING

Tomorrow morning (Sunday), I will be speaking at the morning service of Community Bible Church. You can obtain the details from AiG’s website.

DEVOTION

Nope – at last look - no other god next to Him

(Isa 44:8) Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.

We have one God to occupy our thoughts & our God is in the know, He took time to look around Himself & reported He did not find any other god next to him.

Thanks to friend and supporter Tom Cantor from San Diego who allows me to use these daily devotionals he provides for his staff at the business he owns.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying

Gallup, the US polling organization, has released this information about a new survey it conducted:

Republicans much more likely than Democrats to believe humans created as-is 10,000 years ago. . . . There is a significant political divide in beliefs about the origin of human beings, with 60% of Republicans saying humans were created in their present form by God 10,000 years ago, a belief shared by only 40% of independents and 38% of Democrats.

You can read the entire report at:

ATHEIST SYMBOLS

You may be interested to know that atheists use symbols (Christians use symbols like the sign of a “fish,” a cross, etc.). The reason I mention this is that we observe people come into the museum frequently with these symbols on cars, shirts, tattoos, etc. I have included a photo of one of their symbols we saw at the museum this week.

atheist-symbol.jpg

I have also included a link to various atheist symbols—if you scroll down, one of their symbols is a photo of Darwin—which says it all!

As our youngest daughter Kristel is home from college for the summer, I thought it would be nice to included a photo of her taken this week. Lots of our friends and close relatives check out this blog each day, and this can be a reminder to pray for Kristel as she prepares for her junior year at college.

DEVOTION

Peculiar

(Deu 26:18)  And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

Taking God seriously, using our short life to serve & please Him is termed by the world strangely peculiar, as opposed to God’s term for us His peculiar treasure.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying.

AiG has a whole range of books and DVDs dealing with dinosaurs. As I have often stated, dinosaurs are used by evolutionists more than many things to convince young children (and adults) of evolution and millions of years. That is why AiG has produced some beautiful dinosaur books for children, as well as special DVD programs like the one Buddy Davis and I produced for kids.

I find that the secular media and evolutionists attack us vehemently for teaching that dinosaurs and people lived at the same time. They state that this is ridiculous and anti-science. They scoff and mock that we would even suggest dinosaurs lived together. This is despite the fact that there are numerous animals and plants living today alongside of people that evolutionists teach lived with or even before dinosaurs in their millions-of-years timescale (for instance: Wollemi pine tree, crocodiles, coelacanth fish, etc)—which shows clearly from even this perspective that it is not outlandish to believe dinosaurs and humans co-existed.

However, evolutionists can come up with absolutely outrageous statements about dinosaurs and ideas for kids—and consider this perfectly legitimate.

An AiG supporter recently bought a dinosaur book for his kids at Borders bookstore. She found an item in this book (which we have seen before) showing a picture (with a description) of what dinosaurs would have evolved into had they not become extinct! This “dinosaurid” would have been as intelligent as modern humans. As our supporter said, “I’ve heard some pretty ridiculous things, but ‘dinosaurid’ tops them.”

The book is entitled Dinosaurs Through Time by Rupert Matthews and published by McRae Books (copyright: McRae Books Srl 2005,  Revised Edition 2007,  p. 117).

There are some web links where you can find out more about the history of the “dinosaurid creature” including this information:

In 1982, paleontologist Dale Russell, curator of vertebrate fossils at the National Museum of Canada in Ottawa, speculated on how evolution would have proceeded if the troodonts had survived the extinction of the dinosaurs. Russell speculated that a species like Troodon would have grown smarter and taken on a human-like appearance. Russell partnered with taxidermist and artist Ron Sequin and together they made a model of what a derived, intelligent Troodon would look like, naming their fantasy creation a “Dinosauroid” (Russell & SĂ©guin, 1982). While a few paleontologists, such as David Norman (1985) and Cristiano dal Sasso (2004) have regarded this as a plausible line of reasoning, others, such as Gregory S. Paul (1988) and Thomas R. Holtz Jr., consider it “suspiciously human” (Paul, 1988) and argue that a large-brained, highly intelligent troodontid would retain a more standard theropod body plan. Darren Naish has suggested the ground hornbill as a better model for a hominid-mimicking terrestrial theropod.

MISSING LINKS GOLF OUTING

Each year, AiG hosts a “Missing Links Golf Outing” as a fundraiser for the Creation Museum. I have included just a few photographs of this year’s participants—and no, they are not the missing links, despite rumors to the contrary!

DEVOTION

We have both

(Isa 45:24)  Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

In the Lord Jesus Christ we have both righteousness to be saved from the wrath of God and strength to be saved from our enemies.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying.
