Importance of Video Translations
Published November 23rd, 2007 in Thoughts and Things, Ministry UpdatesAs many of you know, one of the big thrusts of the AiG Worldwide under the direction of Dr. Crandall is to get six of my major presentations translated into other languages, so those DVDs can be distributed throughout the countries where that language is spoken. We have completed the Spanish DVDs and the Chinese ones are in production. We are currently organizing India for 2008 and Japan for 2009. This past week, we received an email from a pastor using the Spanish DVDs in Mexico. His email shows how important it is to get such teaching into people’s hands:
I have used the one about “Six Days or millions of years?” and the one about “Dinosaurs and the Bible”, with teenagers and were very good for them. It helped me to ignite their thinking in several issues. After that, we are talking a little bit more about their faith and other issues.
I have also used the one about “The Origin of the So-called “races” of people” with some guys strugling with the desire of marrying a non believer, and I can tell you that they were not very happy at the moment when Mr. Ham talks about this point, but the DVD helped me to guide them in prayer for this issue. Now we are studying how to manage this issue with their couples, they are learning how to love them first of all as non believers that need salvation in Christ. Thanks a lot for the materials. I will be using them as much as i can.
For those of you who went shopping on “Black Friday” as they call it, I hope it wasn’t too much like evolution—you know, “survival of the fittest,” “nature red in tooth and claw,” etc. For those who don’t live in the USA, the day after Thanksgiving is the biggest shopping day of the year (some stores open at midnight, some at 3 am, 4 am, etc). It is called “Black Friday,” as it is supposed to be the time many retailers start getting into the “black” financially. Our family gave shopping a miss today! Mally and I went to the Museum to meet with some friends and had lunch in Noah’s Café!
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying.
