Faith-based organizations have traditionally lacked the security measures and emergency preparedness planning that businesses and other secular groups have put into place. The Creation Museum and Answers in Genesis is pleased to announce its next security seminar, Security and Emergency Planning for Faith-Based Organizations.
This four-hour seminar presented by AiG’s Chief Security Officer, Jeff Hawkins, will provide an overview of the many facets of security, safety, and emergency planning that every organization should have in place—no matter how large or small.
Whether it’s your place of worship, school, or groups going on mission work, this seminar will introduce you to critical basic concepts and planning.
When: Tuesday, May 20, 8:30 am–12:30 pm
Cost: $55 per person. Includes same-day admission to the Creation Museum; $40 per person for multiple registrants from the same organization.
To register, call (800) 778-3390.

PREPARE FOR THE CREATION MUSEUM’S BEASTS of the BOG WEEKEND!
May 16-17, 2008
What would the world be like if you were the size of an insect or small animal? What dangers would lie in brightly colored, fragrant perches? What might lie coiled below the foliage of an exotic plant? What dangers could lurk as you trek through remote environs and boggy terrain? Come on an adventure with us during our Beasts of the Bog weekend–join us for two presentations that will leave you in awe of God’s creation.
Join Ron Dudek, The Flytrap Guy, as he presents “Invasion of the Insect Snatchers,” a look at carnivorous plants like the Venus Fly Trap and Pitcher Plant. How do flying creatures get lured into these traps, and why can’t they get out? Is this how God designed them or has something happened since Day 3 of creation, when God looked at all created plants and saw that they were all good? Learn the answers to these and other questions about plants that eat creatures, learn how to raise your own Venus Fly Trap, and earn a “Doctorate in Flytrapology” [Guests 12 and under]. This is a fascinating journey into a mysterious realm where plants turn predator!
Shows at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 8 p.m. on Friday, May 16, and at 11 a.m., 12:00, 1:00, 3:00, 4:00, and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17. Tickets cost $1.50 with Museum Admission.
Then, join Rick Teepen, herpetologist, with the ever popular Snakes Alive!, a look at reptiles from God’s perspective. What words come to mind when you imagine a snake? Slimy? Slithery? Dangerous?
Perhaps you have seen a snake in your own backyard and either ran away in fear or leaned in for a closer look, but most of us have never encountered one, let alone touched one. That can change when you visit the Creation Museum to see Snakes Alive! With six snakes, a bearded dragon, and a wealth of knowledge to share with parents and children alike, Mr Teepen reminds all of us that even snakes were created by God. “And just what is a bearded dragon?” you ask. Come to the Creation Museum and find out.

Be sure to keep and eye on our web calendar—where you’ll find a calendar of the exciting activities we’re preparing for your family during our Creation Celebration, May 23-June 8. There will be a new petting zoo, hot air balloon rides, Paint the Dinosaur, and great new food selections on the grounds.
More about Let the Rain Come
Noah is played by the lovable and multi-talented singer/songwriter Buddy Davis. Buddy’s new songs, written especially for the drama, will be available for purchase at the Creation Museum.
Let the Rain Come is co-written by author and actress Geri Campbell (playing Mrs. Noah), whose work, The Story of Gomer, was the first live theater presentation at the museum.
The Creation Museum will be opening its new Petting Zoo on Friday, May 23 and we need your help.
We will be receiving lots of new animals, and, like Adam, we have to name them all. If you’re a museum member, we invite you to help name the animals. As we acquire the animals, we will place their pictures here on the “News” section of our website. Get your children involved and be creative.
Here are our first three sheep, who already have names: Raq, Shaq, and Bennie.
Now we need your help for our next three animals-three female miniature donkeys.

The donkey on the left is the smallest. She has a white face and brown and white spotted body. She loves to be petted and likes attention. The middle donkey is the largest (and most timid) of the three, she has short tan hair. The donkey on the right is expecting a baby soon-she has somewhat longer brown hair, and also loves to be petted.
What would you name them? Send us your ideas to ZooNameGame[AT]CreationMuseum.org (replace the [AT] with @) and include your name, address, phone number, and email address.
The Creation Museum will select the final names, and winners will receive a free photo of themselves with the animal-and have free access to the Petting Zoo for a year!
Today at the Creation Museum was momentous! The first 3 members of the new petting zoo just arrived today – three miniature donkeys.
Numerous staff were there to welcome the latest additions to the CM family. The Petting Zoo will be open to visitors and guests on May 23rd. Mark your calendars and make sure when you visit this summer to take in the new zoo.
