Seventeen year old understands the reality behind creation vs. evolution

by Ken Ham

Here is the testimony from a 17 year old student received last week, showing this young person really understands why so many evolutionists won’t even consider creation:

“As a seventeen year old student I am so grateful for creationists who will stand up for the truth. I am sick of being berated by evolutionists who say their way is the ONLY way. A true intellect gives thought to a proposition before totally dismissing it. If evolutionists would give creation a chance they might find that it is more credible than they thought. The only problem is they don't want to face the fact that there is a Creator and God.”

The faithfulness of God

Over 40 years ago when Dr. David Crandall (director of AiG Worldwide) was a youth Pastor in Horseheads, New York, he led Ron Whitehouse to a saving knowledge of Christ. Ron became a dedicated Christian, and as a young believer, he faced with great courage a life-threatening brain surgery. The doctors gave little hope for his survival.

But 40 years later, Ron visited the Creation Museum with his children and grandchildren and met with Dr. and Mrs. Crandall (see photograph below) and gave a glowing testimony to God’s faithfulness. Ron drove 9 hours from New York State so that his family could be strengthened in their Christian faith. The Whitehouse family was greatly blessed at the Museum and is already planning another trip to the Museum next year.

Is the mysterious Tasmanian tiger really extinct?

I’m always interested in fascinating items about our homeland of Australia. (We are still very much Australians at heart—and still testify to being called of the Lord to be missionaries to the USA—in fact, Mally and I are members of and missionaries from Sunnybank Baptist Church in Queensland, Australia.) I thought you would be intrigued by this item about the Tasmanian tiger:
“Wildlife scientists have re-opened the cryptic case of a carnivore that resembled a striped coyote and vanished from its Australian haunt nearly 80 years ago.

“While the scientists think chances are slim that the so-called Tasmanian tiger (Thylacinus cynocephalus) still roams the island off the coast of Australia, they can’t help but turn over every possible leaf to look for evidence of the elusive animal.

“The last wild Tasmanian tiger was killed between 1910 and 1920, and the last captive one died in 1936 at the Hobart Zoo in Tasmania, Australia. In 1986, the creature was declared extinct. The extinction marked the demise of the only member of its family, Thylacinidae, and the world’s largest marsupial (pouched) carnivore. It weighed about 65 pounds and had a nose-to-tail length of six feet.

“However, rumored sightings of the creature continue to emerge from the island's ancient forests.

“Now zoologist Jeremy Austin of the Australian Center for Ancient DNA and his colleagues are examining DNA from animal droppings found in Tasmania in the late 1950s and 1960s, which have been preserved in the Tasmanian Museum and Art.”
