Terrific Teens

Last week I was presented a check in the amount of $1,000 for the Ark Encounter project. Now, we receive a few checks of that amount, but this gift was extra special. It was given to us by sixteen- and seventeen-year-old young men, grandsons of long-time AiG volunteers, Marlene and Dick Sauer. These teens gave a portion of their summer earnings from landscape work to the Ark project. Here is a copy of their check:

I am always excited to hear from children and teens—the next generation—who support the creation-gospel outreaches of AiG! Even their small gifts—$5, $10, or whatever—are so encouraging to receive.

I praise the Lord that the AiG ministry is having such a positive impact on children and young people.

Mascots at the Creation Museum

On Saturday, November 2, workers with Operation Christmas Child will be here at the Creation Museum to collect shoeboxes. What’s so special about these shoeboxes?

Well, for 20 years about 100 million children in over 130 countries have enjoyed receiving shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child (OCC). An outreach of Samaritan’s Purse, OCC delivers Christmas gifts including the gospel message to children across the world.

Now, if you bring a shoebox filled with small toys on November 2 to the museum, you will receive a $7 discount for general admission to the museum. Additional members in your party can also get a $7 museum discount for each additional box you bring. The OCC shoebox mascots will be walking around the museum during that day. Two of the mascots visited the Creation Museum earlier this month, and posed with museum staff member Charlie Mills:
