A weekend in the life of AiG

by Ken Ham

On just about any weekend during the year, somewhere, one or more AiG speakers will be teaching people across the nation and around the world. This past weekend, a number of AiG speakers gave their premier presentations at a conference in AiG’s “backyard.” I’ve attached photos of Friday evening’s speakers (Dr. Terry Mortenson, Dr. David Menton, and myself), and one of people milling around the book tables. Other speakers were involved on Saturday (including Dr. Jason Lisle, Dr. Georgia Purdom, Dr. Tommy Mitchell, and Carl Kerby).

THE POPE AND EVOLUTION

A news report recently reported on the Catholic Church’s position on evolution. The report in USA Today stated:

Pope Benedict XVI and his former doctoral students plan to publish the proceedings of a recent seminar on evolution to promote a dialogue between faith and science on the origins of life, participants say.

The minutes, to be issued later this year, will show how Catholic theologians see no contradiction between their belief in divine creation and the scientific theory of evolution, participants said after the annual closed-door meeting ended Sunday.

You can read the entire story at: USA Today: Pope’s Evolution Seminar to be Published.

On Sunday morning, I return to the church where this weekend’s conference was held to preach at the two morning services.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
