$27 million raised

The Creation Museum reached a milestone with $27 million raised for the building and exhibits. We continue to now raise $3 million for start-up operational expenses, new staff, ticketing equipment, software, media (bill boards, TV, and radio advertising), additional security, and so on. Please pray for the $3 million now needed to totally finish all needed funding for this phase.

CREATION MUSEUM "APRIL FOOLS DAY JOKE"

A columnist for a Nebraska newspaper, who I have never spoken with—and as far as I know has not visited AiG nor spoken to any of our scientists—decided to write an opinion on the Creation Museum based on a recent newspaper report. He begins the article with:

Did you read the story in this newspaper on April 1 about the $27 million Creation Museum being built in Boone County, Kentucky? Was that for real or was it an April Fools Day joke? The story told us that the museum builder is an organization called "Answers in Genesis." Doesn't that sound like the beginning of an April Fools Day joke?

As is usual for such people, he then goes on more of a tirade without one shred of observable scientific evidence for molecules to man evolution or against the biblical account of creation. Such a person believes Darwinian evolution to be true because it's true. Such is the logic of such reporters—sadly.

Lots of secular anti-Christian blogs are making statements about the creation museum. For instance, this one comment on an Americans For Truth article:

Saying that gays can't experience the "mystery" of becoming "one flesh" is sort of like saying, "You can eat all the pumpernickel bread you want, but everyone knows that only rye bread can transubstantiate into the actual body and blood of Christ." You're assigning silly religious meaning to an entirely human event. But naturally, Petey encourages folks to boycott Disney and instead take the kids to Ken Ham's creationism museum opening in Ohio. Where they can learn ridiculous lies like the earth is only 6000 years old and there was once a global flood that killed off everything that wasn't in the ark. At least when Disney tells fairy tales, they don't pretend they're real.

GAY INDOCTRINATION AT PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL

"I was just talking with an Answers magazine subscriber, and he said the Noah's Ark issue could be put alongside Newsweek magazine. He was talking about what great quality this issue is and bought six extra copies to give to people."
