Europe voting against creation?

I reported a couple of months ago about a very influential body in Europe that was trying to get a vote against teaching creation in schools. The latest report from Europe states:

“Europe’s main human rights body will vote next week on a resolution opposing the teaching of creationist and intelligent design views in school science classes. The Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly will debate a resolution saying attacks on the theory of evolution were rooted ‘in forms of religious extremism’ and amounted to a dangerous assault on science and human rights.

“The resolution, on the agenda for October 4, says European schools should ‘resist presentation of creationist ideas in any discipline other than religion.’ It describes the ‘intelligent design’ argument as an updated version of creationism.”

NEW GENERATION MORE SKEPTICAL OF CHRISTIANITY

Fitting with what I have taught so often concerning the decline of the culture (and the connection to the teaching of evolution/millions of years and compromise positions in the church), I thought you would be very interested in the results of new Barna research:

“As the nation’s culture changes in diverse ways, one of the most significant shifts is the declining reputation of Christianity, especially among young Americans. A new study by The Barna Group conducted among 16- to 29-year-olds shows that a new generation is more skeptical of and resistant to Christianity than were people of the same age just a decade ago.”

KEN HAM “GOING TO THE DOGS”!

It must be the week to talk about dogs! As many of you know, when I talk about natural selection, genetics, speciation, etc., I use dogs to help people understand this—and to make it a little entertaining I use poodles (those degenerate, mutant, sin-cursed … cute dogs). Well, as a result, I have people sending me poodle toys—I have a number of them displayed proudly on my bookcase in my office. I have been sent poodle books and other poodle items.

Well, yesterday someone decided to send me some jokes adapted from a couple of web sites—so I thought I would share them with you. I must admit that I enjoyed receiving these—help to brighten up my day! This is what a supporter sent me:

Mally and I drove to Winona Lake on Tuesday. I begin speaking at Grace College today and then public meetings tonight—then the same again tomorrow with extra meetings during the day. Then Friday we will travel down to Indianapolis for my evening speaking engagement there.
