The Australian Connection

by Ken Ham

It has been interesting (and thrilling) to see various Australian connections as part of the AiG ministry recently. For instance, this month, we have had a number of Australian visitors at the Creation Museum.

One set of visitors brought back some wonderful memories. Over 33 years ago, Mally and I met a young lady named Bethley in a country town in Queensland. She became a close friend and eventually married Ralph. Well, this week, Ralph and their two sons, Jared and Nathan, came over to the USA specifically to visit the Creation Museum. We had a great time showing them around Northern Kentucky and the tri-state area, finishing off with dinner last night along the Ohio River and across from the scenic skyline of downtown Cincinnati.

I have included two photographs:

A. Ralph, Nathan, Jared and me in the Main Hall of the Museum

B. Ralph, Nathan, and Jared together with AiG speaker Carl Kerby, me and my wife Mally, and Michiko from Japan, having lunch on the deck of the museum’s Noah’s Café

RESEARCH UPDATE

Dr. Andrew Snelling, Director of Research at AiG, gave the staff a report Tuesday on some of the fascinating research he is conducting in Australia (paid for by an Australian supporter and personal friend of Andrew’s). This research will result in about five papers for the free online Answers Research Journal we provide. I have included two photographs of Andrew as he made the presentation to the staff.

GRAND CANYON REPORT

I have included two photographs of Dr. Terry Mortenson as he gave an update to the AiG staff on his recent raft trip with other academics down the Grand Canyon’s Colorado River. Dr. Andrew Snelling also participated in this trip as our creation geologist.

“THE GREATEST . . . THING WE CONTRIBUTE TO!”

Great feedback here about the Creation Museum:

I met you in the bookstore. You asked if we liked the museum. I said, “Yes.” You asked if it was worth coming again. Well, we’ve been to that wonderful museum 4 times—3 with grandkids who enjoyed it very much! This is the greatest, most worthwhile thing we contribute to!  [From a supporter in Kalamazoo, MI]
DEVOTION
Got trouble?

(Deut. 31:7-8)  And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it. And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Got trouble? Remember how Moses told Joshua the most terrifying news that he had to go it alone with the Jews without Moses. Joshua was able with God.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying. Ken
