Did “Primitive Man” Use a GPS?

A fascinating article appeared in the United Kingdom’s Telegraph recently which stated:

Prehistoric man navigated his way across England using a crude version of sat nav based on stone circle markers, historians have claimed.

The article went on to explain:

According to historian and writer Tom Brooks, the findings show that Britain’s Stone Age ancestors were “sophisticated engineers” and far from a barbaric race.

Mr Brooks, from Honiton, Devon, studied all known prehistoric sites as part of his research. He said: “To create these triangles with such accuracy would have required a complex understanding of geometry.

“The sides of some of the triangles are over 100 miles across on each side and yet the distances are accurate to within 100 metres. You cannot do that by chance.”

“So advanced, sophisticated and accurate is the geometrical surveying now discovered, that we must review fundamentally the perception of our Stone Age forebears as primitive, or conclude that they received some form of external guidance.”

Of course biblical creationists are not surprised by such findings; in fact, we would predict such.  Adam and Eve’s descendants were building musical instruments almost from the beginning.  Man was created highly intelligent.  Evolutionists of course are surprised by such findings as they have this idea that man started off as some ape-like creature and eventually evolved into intelligent beings, etc.

Congratulations

Congratulations to our daughter (third of five children) and new son-in-law on their marriage yesterday.  The couple are now on their honeymoon (somewhere on planet earth).  Here are some photos taken at the wedding reception:

I count it a real privilege that our daughter Danielle and her (now) husband Joe asked me to speak at the wedding ceremony and bring the charge to them.  I spoke from Matthew 19, Ephesians 5, Malachi 2, Joshua 4, and 2 Corinthians 6 regarding what marriage is all about.  I gave them a reminder to carry on the godly heritage they have been blessed with from their parents and grandparents.  I presented them with a replica of a three-legged milking stool to stand as a reminder for them that true marriage requires three partners—husband, wife, and the Lord.  This was the example my father used when he taught Bible studies when we lived in Dairy Farm country in Australia.  The stool (constructed by Master Craftsman Gene Earnest, a volunteer at the Creation Museum) was engraved in memory of Danielle’s grandfather (Poppa) and as a reminder to ensure Christ was the head of their home and the third partner in their marriage.

The marriage ceremony was performed by Cecil Eggert.  Cecil and his wife work at AiG.  Cecil was a pastor for a number of years and  the Eggerts are special friends of the Ham family.  Because most of our family is in Australia (except my brother Stephen—he is here in the USA and was at the wedding), our American friends have become our ‘family’ in the USA.  Some travelled from South Carolina, Chicago, and other places to be at the wedding.
