A Call to Battle, a Call to Prayer

by Ken Ham

The excitement is building as Ark Encounter opens in less than four weeks! As we get closer to the opening date of the life-size Noah’s Ark attraction, AiG staff member Cecil Eggert asks that you join us in praying daily for the project.

Noah’s Ark

Cecil serves as advancement officer here at Answers in Genesis, after serving as a pastor for almost 30 years. He asked me to share this call to prayer and some specific prayer requests with our supporters:

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all saints—and for me (Ephesians 6:18–19).

Most of us can name the pieces of armor that God has provided for our success in the battle of spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:10–20). For all the times I’ve heard someone list each piece of armor, I am surprised how often the prayer element is neglected. The Apostle Paul uses this Scripture on spiritual warfare with a call to use prayer as an offensive weapon by praying for one another. So when Paul listed our defenses against Satan, praying diligently for one another was just as important as the other pieces of armor. Just imagine the protective power of God and its eternal impact due to the combined prayers of God’s people for one another’s integrity, purity, safety, and work.

As the evangelistic Ark Encounter enters the last weeks of preparation to open its doors to the world on July 7, we are encouraging all our ministry friends to join us in this “call to prayer” for one another and the project. We ask that you commit daily to pray for the following list and to share it with other prayer warriors to do the same. Ultimately this is a battle for the souls of millions of people who need the gospel. There is an enemy, and we’re in a battle; as the attacks intensify, so must our prayers.
