Answers in Genesis employs many talented and knowledgeable PhD scientists who’ve specialized in a wide variety of fields, such as genetics, geology, paleontology, or anatomy, and they believe God’s Word beginning in Genesis. I thought I’d highlight one of these scientists who we’re thrilled to have here at the Creation Museum and Answers in Genesis—Dr. David Menton.

Dr. Menton holds a PhD in biology from Brown University (a prestigious Ivy League school) and served as an award-winning professor at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, US, for 34 years. He’s exactly what you’d want in a teacher—he’s fascinating to listen to and is passionate in his teaching, with knowledge about a wide variety of subjects. So it’s no surprise he retired an Associate Professor Emeritus.

And although he’s retired from teaching as a university professor, Dr. Menton still teaches and captivates audiences (a wide range of ages) during workshops here at the Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky. These fascinating and interactive workshops cover a variety of topics including bones, skin, the improbability of evolution, the design of feathers, the development of an unborn baby, and more.

Dr. Menton is also heavily involved in our popular Explore Days program and our Explore Science 5–Day Summer Camp. Explore Days feature a full day of hands-on science learning with a biblical worldview for students in grades 4–12. These workshops are extremely popular and often sell out well in advance. Some of the Explore Days topics include:

  • Forensics
  • Biology
  • Microscopes
  • Zoology
  • Botany
  • Dinosaurs

Dr. Menton’s teaching during Explore Days is always enthusiastically enjoyed by the students, as much as his participation in our Explore Science 5–Day Summer Camp. This day camp features 20 hands-on workshops, all from a biblical worldview perspective. Your kids will love learning about God’s incredible design seen in our bodies and everything else he has made.

And new this year, we will be hosting our first Explore Forensics 3-Day Camp at the Creation Museum. Students will learn more about fingerprints, fingerprint processing, DNA, trace analysis (hair and fibers), impressions (shoe and dental), crime scene recording, and document examination through 12 hands-on science programs.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
