Sight & Sound Theatre’s Jesus Coming to the Big Screen April 7, 9, and 11

Our friends do a remarkable job producing live theater productions based on accounts from Scripture. Anyone who has ever visited their theaters, either in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, or Branson, Missouri, knows firsthand how spectacular these productions are. With live animals, original music and lyrics, stunning props, and a massive cast, Sight & Sound Theatres pull you into their biblical accounts. You can watch one of their superb productions, Jesus, in movie theaters across the United States April 7, 9, and 11 (just in time for Easter!).

As the name suggests, Jesus features the life of Christ, beginning with him calling the disciples to follow him. Of course, be aware that due to the nature of a theatrical production, Sight & Sound Theatre took artistic license in certain places, including adding details that are not recorded in Scripture or combining various accounts at different times to fit more events from Christ’s life into the production. But they still honor Scripture.

With the timing of this nationwide event being so close to Easter, your friends and family, even if they don’t attend church, may be willing to go to the theater with you to see this film. I encourage you to invite them to see it. It may just spark gospel-centered conversations!
