A Good Day to be Reminded to Pray for Our Nation

Today is Veterans Day here in America—a day we remember, honor, and thank those who have served in our military (more on how we’re doing that below). It’s a day when many of us are thinking of our nation, so it’s a good reminder to obey God’s Word and pray for our nation and our leadership as God instructs us.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1–4)
Will you pray for your nation and leaders today?

God desires that everyone—even those leading this nation (many of whom are very evil)—would be saved and know his truth. We should be praying and interceding to that end while we also live a “peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way” so we can be the sweet aroma of Christ among those who are perishing (2 Corinthians 2:14–15). Will you pray for your nation and leaders today?

Thanking Those Who Have Served

As our way of saying thank you, we offer all former and active-duty military free admission every year on Veterans Day, November 11 (as well as each Memorial Day and July 4) to both the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum—the two leading Christian-themed attractions in the world.

And every day, we offer active-duty members of the United States Armed Forces a 20% discount off the purchase of up to five general admission tickets (adult or senior) with a current military photo ID or military dependent ID, and retired members always receive a 20% discount off their tickets. So when you purchase tickets, please be sure to let our guest services staff know your military status. (And children 10 and under are free for all of 2022 as well!)

Visit ArkEncounter.com or CreationMuseum.org to plan your visit.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
