Where exactly was the mountain where God met with Moses? Well, I’m excited to share there’s a new film in the fantastic Patterns of Evidence series that’s seeking to answer that very question (and it’s a controversial one!). In Patterns of Evidence: Journey to Mount Sinai, accomplished filmmaker Timothy Mahoney is looking for physical evidence of the Exodus journey from the Red Sea to Mt. Sinai. And part one of this epic investigation is now available on DVD or Blu-ray.

Previous fascinating films in this series have looked at the Exodus, who wrote the Pentateuch, and the Red Sea crossing. This newest film in the series is going to be just as eye-opening and thought-provoking as the previous films.

This film is not giving an absolute answer, but the entire two-part series will give different views for you to consider.

Journey to Mount Sinai is the first in a two-part investigation of the journey of the Israelites from the crossing of the Red Sea to Mt. Sinai, where Moses received the law. Over the years, many mountains have been proposed as the true location of Mt. Sinai—so where was it? In the investigation, Mahoney looks at biblical, geographical, and archaeological information pointing to clues as to the real location of the mountain. It’s an interesting film that will give you a lot to think about and that will bring the biblical account to life. This film is not giving an absolute answer, but the entire two-part series will give different views for you to consider.
