Meet the Newest Critter at the Creation Museum (She Glows Pink!)

Native to South America, these marsupials are in the same created kind as the Virginia opossums common in the United States. Although they’re marsupials, they don’t have pouches. One of their most amazing designs is that they glow neon pink under UV light, as seen in these photos!

This species is fiercely territorial, so Poppy lives alone. However, she enjoys spending time with our zoo staff and seems to enjoy playing with her many toys. Poppy will act as one of our animal ambassadors and appear in our daily animal programs at the Creation Museum, so be sure to watch a show during your visit!
