We want everyone to be able to enjoy and learn from our attractions, the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. For instance, we have Día Latino, Deaf Days, and many other special events.

We also want to help people who are blind or have visual impairment or low vision. To do this, we offer a “Tactile Experience” and are increasingly adding braille signage and special tactile items to our exhibits.

We recently conducted a Tactile Experience at the Ark. A group of 16 guests took part in this experience.

The Tactile Experience is a great way for our guests who have low vision or are blind to “see” and experience the life-size Noah’s Ark.

We also have a great downloadable resource that provides a Braille Tour of the Ark. We have created braille guides that are compatible with portable braille displays. These guides provide translations of the signs on each deck of our life-size Noah’s Ark. People can download the Braille Tour files here: ArkEncounter.com/braille.

Reaching the World Through Translation

As part of reaching everyone with the gospel, we also have a translation ministry to provide our resources to believers around the world. For example, we recently had a German student, Lena, volunteer with AiG for four weeks.

She served in Guest Services and also worked on translating two of Dr. Terry Mortenson’s web articles and four of our children’s books, Dinosaurs for Kids, One Blood for Kids, Why Did God Make Me a Boy?, and Why Did God Make Me a Girl? After review and editing, those will be published sometime in 2024 by the same German publisher that is publishing The Answers Books for Kids in a few weeks. That series of children’s books was translated last summer by Maria (Lena’s cousin). There is so little good creationist literature in Germany, especially for children, so these will be great additions. We’re thankful for Lena’s hard work!

Pray for us at Answers in Genesis as we do our best to reach people of all abilities and languages with the good news of the truth of God’s Word and the gospel!

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
