When you visit the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky, you will see a large construction project underway. This project consists of the new Welcome Center and bus turnaround as well as the Jerusalem model building to house the most up-to-date and one of the most spectacular scale models of first-century Jerusalem in the world. I thought you’d enjoy this exciting construction update.

I believe that this Jerusalem model will be quite a tourist attraction in itself—not to mention the life-size Noah’s Ark that already draws hundreds of thousands of people each year. The Jerusalem model will be in three large sections with a total area of over 2,000 square feet (186 square meters). These photos were taken of the construction site as we laid the foundation for the structures.

But all this takes time, of course. The Welcome Center is scheduled to open in 2025, and the Jerusalem building and model in 2026.

Construction is also continuing at the Creation Museum. Our talented staff have put together the rendering below of the new Eden Teaching Center in the gardens of the Creation Museum.

This center will house a large glass conservatory for raising the plants of the Bible, classrooms, a dig site, and a redesigned zoo with a large outdoor stage for live animal programs. This will be a major addition and upgrade for the Creation Museum attraction. The zoo (including a wallaby walkabout area) will hopefully be open at the beginning of the busy summer season. The conservatory—the only one of its kind in the state hosting a permanent exhibit—will open later in the fall.

We are always upgrading and adding wonderful exhibits at our two attractions, the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter.

And don’t miss our stunning Christmas lights and programs at each attraction through December 30. Check our Ark Encounter and Creation Museum websites for details, dates, and schedules.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
