AiG is REALLY going worldwide

AiG’s director of worldwide outreach, Dr. David Crandall, sent me this report today, summarizing some of the exciting things he has been involved with in the three months he has been on board full-time with AiG. Read the following and praise the Lord for these exciting happenings, and please pray for each of them:

1. Contacts were made with translators in Thailand.
2. Thai Bible schools will be receiving an AiG library.
3. A Burmese pastor is coordinating a team to translate and print our materials.
4. We are sending a AiG library to Cambodia.
5. Filipino missionaries have promised to help us in Cambodia.
6. A Jordanian pastor who preaches in Syria, Saudi Arabia and Jordan will help us translate into Arabic.
7. A new Christian radio station in Baghdad will carry the AiG broadcast.
8. A Korean translation team will translate and print AiG materials in their country.
9. Hindi translators will enable our AiG resources to be spread all across the great land of India.
10. Spanish translations of five major books will be edited and re-published for distribution in the Spanish-speaking world.
11. A friend in Israel will work with us on producing quality Hebrew translations.
12. A massive literature distribution is planned for the Philippines.
13. We are now working vigorously on a plan to take AiG resources to the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008.
14. Three international leaders will receive invitations soon to travel to AiG--USA for training—we will pay for their travel.
15. The largest Baptist church in South Korea has asked [Dr. Crandall] to visit them (16,000 members).
16. Trips by [Dr. Crandall] are now set up for Italy, Scotland, Australia and New Zealand.
17. Ukrainian Baptists have asked [Dr. Crandall] to visit and to begin work on translation.
18. A team of Chinese translators should receive AiG materials in late May to begin translation.
19. All translations will be distributed in the various countries and will be available at the Creation Museum bookstore.
20. There are several dozen new projects that are in very early stages.

FILMING FOR MUSEUM EXHIBITS

The company AiG has contracted with to produce the 55 video presentations (to be used in various places in the Creation Museum) spent today at the office discussing various scripts/illustrations, etc., and also filmed another of the many creation scientists who will appear on many of these videos.

LAUGHING BEGAN FOUR MILLION YEARS AGO

Actually, I think many of you will laugh at this article I received today:

Evolutionary biologists have traced the origins of laughter back 4m years to pre-humans slipping and stumbling in their first faltering attempts to walk on two legs. According to the theory, when they saw a member of their group lose his footing they would laugh as a sign to each other that something was amiss, but nothing too serious.

The theory could explain why, to this day, the ungainly walk remains a staple element of slapstick humour from John Cleese’s "Ministry of Silly Walks" to Rowan Atkinson’s accident-prone Mr Bean.

So there you have it! Laughing began when pre-humans (apes!) laughed at other pre-humans (apes) who were evolving to walk to two legs! Isn’t it great to know such things can be taught as fact in the public schools!

I had a busy day of meetings today—a lot of time spent with the museum team and the company producing all the museum videos.
