Creation Museum Re-creates Bethlehem

Christmas festivities this year at the Creation Museum in Petersburg will include a live Nativity. Also, admission to the museum will be free on Christmas Eve…The museum will take visitors back 2,000 years ago with its "Road to Bethlehem" live program. It includes 18 to 20 actors, some of whom are volunteers and others are employees. The journey begins outside the museum in Jerusalem. Picnic pavilions will be turned into Bethlehem…The live outdoor Nativity includes actors portraying Mary and Joseph. For baby Jesus, Campbell said the museum has "a breathing doll" that is life-like, battery operated and its chest rises and falls. She said it looks, feels and smells like a baby. Live animals will be used too.

"Road to Bethlehem" debuts at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12. It will run 6-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights and on selected dates during the week of Christmas through Jan. 3. It will run 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31. It is free. Visitors will be given a coupon for a free DVD of "The Last Adam," a movie that is being shown at the museum.

CASTING CROWNS AT CREATION MUSEUM

The lead singer (Mike Hall) and his family from the Christian singing group Casting Crowns (in town for a concert last night with Natalie Grant, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, Avalon, Michael English, Purer) visited the Creation Museum yesterday.

I was able to get my photograph taken with the band members visiting.

Faith is an enlightenment of scientific understanding as only by faith we understand that what is seen today was not made from processes observable today.
