I’m very excited to announce that, yesterday, we held our dedication ceremony for three brand-new major exhibit areas at the Creation Museum. These cutting-edge exhibits present the message of biblical authority, starting points of thinking regarding origins, and the relevance of Genesis more powerfully than ever. I think you’re going to be blown away! I certainly was when I saw what our designers had done—it’s beyond words!

Before our special dedication ceremony, we broadcast our walk through of the new exhibits to Facebook:

The first of the three exhibit areas introduces guests to the true nature of the debate over origins—a battle over two interpretations of the same evidence because of two starting points, man’s word or God’s Word. Radiometric dating, animal kinds and speciation, and human variation and supposed human evolution are all used to help guests understand the two interpretations and see how science confirms God’s Word, not man’s ideas. Then guests will learn how these two starting points determine a person’s worldview regarding death and suffering, purpose and meaning of life, etc.

The second new area emphasizes God’s Word as the authority and truth in everything it teaches. Various biblical characters and eras are used to show how archaeology supports the accounts we find in Scripture. The video portraits of biblical characters are particularly stunning!

  • Biblical Authority Room, Age of the Earth
  • Biblical Authority Room, Daniel

The last new area declares the relevance of Genesis. Through gorgeous artwork, explanatory signage, and a powerful video, guests will see how Genesis is foundational to all our major Christian doctrines, such as the sanctity of human life, marriage, why there is death and suffering, and the gospel message. The information is given in the context of an artist reclaiming an old industrial building, and we need to reclaim the foundation of God’s Word in Genesis in the culture.

These exhibits are opening just in time for our ChristmasTown guests. Tens of thousands of guests will pour onto the Creation Museum grounds from November 29 through December 30 (closed Christmas Eve and Day) for our special Christmas program. ChristmasTown features a spectacular garden of lights, live nativity, concerts, and so much more—and it’s free (you only pay for parking!). We’re offering a special discount on the Creation Museum exhibits admission after 5 p.m.—and this special discount comes with unlimited hot chocolate in a commemorative travel mug. The museum is located in Petersburg, Kentucky, west of the Cincinnati Airport.

We’re also hosting ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter, 45 minutes away. This free event (again, you only pay for parking) features beautiful lights, Christmas carol singing, concerts, our spectacular “Encounter the Wonder” video, and skating on our Glice® (synthetic ice) rink (there is a nominal $5 fee for skate rental associated with this activity).
