Make This Your New Christmas Tradition

If you’ve never been to ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter or ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum, you are missing out! These free family events are loved by locals and those from out-of-state, many of whom return every year to enjoy the tradition and see what’s new.

ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter features the grounds, lit up in a spectacular light display, including the 510-foot-long Ark itself in rainbow colors, traditional Christmas carols inside the 2,500-seat Answers Center, live animal presentations, and the spectacular Encounter the Wonder Christmas video on the huge, 70-foot-wide LED screen! Guests will also enjoy meeting the animals in Ararat Ridge Zoo. And this is all free! You only pay for parking.

Guests can also ride a camel, go back in time with our VR experience, shop for unique gifts, ride the zip lines, or enjoy a festive meal (ticket or purchase required for these activities). It’s a wonderful time for the whole family!

ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum features a spectacular garden of lights—one of the best light displays in the area! Find lit-up dinosaurs throughout the grounds, stroll around the lake, meet the animals in the Eden Zoo, reflect at the live nativity, take the kids to the state-of-the-art playground, and more. With a ticket purchase, you can zip over the lake or take a spin on our Glice (synthetic ice) rink. Or head inside for a festive meal, shopping, and our “What Was the Christmas Star” 4K planetarium show.
